Great food, great service, great prices, and great atmosphere. The ribs were terrific. The margaritas went down like a fat kid on a teeter totter. We are already planning a return trip back.

If you’re in San Diego and craving BBQ, you’ve got to check out Wood Ranch BBQ & Grill, it’s a must. We had the tri-tip, chicken breast, and corn on the cob, and everything was cooked just right, juicy, flavorful, and full of that smoky goodness. The friendly staff and great service made it even better, and we’re already planning to come back for more next time we’re in town!

Had a great experience as expected this past Saturday 7-26-2025. I didn’t even know there was a Wood Ranch in San Diego till I was at another business nearby and saw the sign. Maybe they should step up their marketing a bit. I’ve been to other locations many times. It happened to be perfect timing as it was just about dinner time so I decided to stop in. It was fantastic as usual. Victoria was our server who ensured we had what we needed throughout our visit. I got the WR Original Old Fashioned
Americas Best BBQ Tri-Tip Sandwich w/ Loren’s Favorite Mac & Cheese
My friend got the Diet Coke, Top Sirloin w/Idaho Baked Potato. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly.

Came here for my birthday celebration lunch with family and it was great. Excellent customer service. Food was tasty and their margaritas are good. Gluten free options were easily identified.

Food and Service were excellent. Ordered the roasted chicken which was a lot better then what I imagined it would be a long with the mashed sweet potatos and macaroni. I only wish their rolls were better. They go cold too fast.

This place is tucked away in plaza off friar road. Not the easiest to find but its a secluded spot that doesnt feel stuffy. Plenty of parking. The bbq beef ribs are cooked just right. The mac and cheese is velvety and bursting with cheddar flavor. Portions are huge so come hungry.
The food was delicious! My husband and I shared a combo plate. We choose the TriTip and pulled pork for entres with a baked potato for each of us as our two sides. We were there as part of a group of 11 people celebrating a birthday and our server was so attentive to such a large group. She was amazing and a credit to the restaurant. We willgo back again soon.
Great food and service.
Always delicious.
I had the classic burger with Mac n cheese. Both had no taste. My husband makes better burgers at home than the classic. For a $33.00 It tasted like just meat. The meat had no additional flavoring. The Mac n cheese in the box is better than the Mac n cheese there. I personally wouldn't go back unless I was gifted a dinner for two to make up for the poor quality of food tonight.
