Man, the food is good and the people there are nice, but $38 for 2 gyros to go is insane

The servants are polite, and the place is very small. You really do not need to reserve your place , because there are no people there. The food was so so. Lamb was cut in a very tiny piece, frying well but not testy. Very fat. Rice was ok, salad was ok, not io much special. Tea was ok. If you need to eat something and do not want to spend too much money- stop by. In that ca, e you do not need to expect something extraordinary. Just basic, simple, cheap meal. Menu is very long with a lot of options. But we ordered what we ordered. The decoration is very poor.

Best food we had in San Diego. Very welcoming and gracious person took our order and recommended the chicken plate I had. The lamb my plate husband enjoyed was flavorful and tender. We loved the salad that came with our plates and the humus. The kibi appetizer wasn’t as good as all the rest - will have to ask for a recommendation next time we come.

Food is not fresh and quality is so bad

I ordered the chicken shawarma bowl but I think I ended up getting a different style of chicken which was a blessing in disguise because it was incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked! So much dark meat and perfectly juicy, yet crispy on the outside. I live in NorCal but I’ll be back next time I’m in SD!

BAD experience. I paid $35 for a Lanto soup and beef plate, and they gave me utensils that were disgustingly dirty, there were actual salad bits stuck to my spoon and fork. Instant ick. 🤢 What made it worse? I watched the staff touching their pants, handling money and the register, then going straight to the food without washing their hands. For less than that price, I could’ve gotten the best shish kabob at Darband. The food was beyond basic. The only thing I somewhat enjoyed was the soup. Definitely not coming back.

Very solid Mediterranean spot. Food was spot on, vibes were good. The baba ghanoush & chicken tawook were highlights.

The food was just ok. The kofta kebab was decent, but I’ve definitely had better, similar to the lentil soup. The hummus had little flavor. The kibbeh were tough and oily - they didn’t taste fresh, but rather seemed like they had been pre-fried and then refried to heat them. The chicken shawarma was the best dish we ordered, so I would stick with that.

Just stopped by for baklavas, had both pistachio and walnut, but they were the most oily baklavas I have had. I will be trying other food there but not baklavas

You can’t go wrong with Lebanese food and this little spot doesn’t disappoint. My husband and I had the beef kabob plates. Perfectly prepared and quick service.
