The servants are polite, and the place is very small. You really do not need to reserve your place , because there are no people there. The food was so so. Lamb was cut in a very tiny piece, frying well but not testy. Very fat. Rice was ok, salad was ok, not io much special. Tea was ok. Best food we had in San Diego. Very welcoming and gracious person took our order and recommended the chicken plate I had. The lamb my plate husband enjoyed was flavorful and tender. We loved the salad that came with our plates and the humus. The kibi appetizer wasn’t as good as all the rest - will have to ask for a recommendation next time we come.
I ordered the chicken shawarma bowl but I think I ended up getting a different style of chicken which was a blessing in disguise because it was incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked! So much dark meat and perfectly juicy, yet crispy on the outside. I live in NorCal but I’ll be back next time I’m in SD!
