Delicious mini cakes from Yiko Yiko! We got takeout of the strawberry, mango, and chocolate Oreo mini cakes and they all tasted great. The Oreo one is really cute with the little eye balls on it. Like the Poki that is used in the cakes as well. Recommend!

Very tasty good but tad expensive and service is extremely slow. If you have special guests in town, it'll be worth taking them here if your other options are not available.

I'm a fan. Came here after lunch to hit the sweet tooth, and loved everything about the spot. Got a little sample of a few things, and nothing disappointed. The Durian mochi was delicious, and i'll be back for it. Everything else was great, mochi was soft and bouncy, and nothing was overtly sweet. I'll be back!!

The food is a little expensive (2 mochi balls & 1 slice crepe cake was $24 total), but they were really good & I would definitely try it again. Idk how it is in the evening but I went on a Saturday around 1-2 pm & the place was overall quiet & I had gotten my food pretty quick. The cashier will also bring you your food at your table which I thought was a nice touch!

The flavor was great I loved everything about them! They're so small, I could eat two boxes. I would definitely return!

This small Japanese desert spot uses fresh Organic whipping cream and fruit to produce amazing tasty deserts. Highly recommend a visit to this unique Japanese desert spot!

Big mochi fan - even bigger mini mochi fan. Saw someone post about Yiko Yiko on their Instagram and knew I needed to go check it out. Yiko Yiko's located in the same plaza and other restaurants and etc so there shouldn't be an issue with parking. Stopped by in the afternoon and it wasn't crowded. Ordered the mini matcha mochis and tried them there at the shop. With the mochi, you get a matcha? cream and something that's like matcha wafer/cookie. The mochi dipped in the cream and then the wafers was the perfect bite-sized treat. I could eat several boxes of just the mochi, with how soft and chewy the texture was. It was so good, we ended up getting a second box to go. You can see the staff making the mochi in the kitchen through the glass when you walk into the store, that was pretty cool. Didn't get to try anything else, but their cakes were really cute! Would come back to try other mochi items/flavors on the menu.

I recently went with one of my friends and thought this place was super cute! We ended up getting a mango cake which was very airy and not super sweet. It was enough for both us to share after a dinner somewhere else. The service here was quick and the staff was nice!

This is one of my favorite dessert and study places on San Diego. The desserts are handmade and the perfect amount of sweetness (not too sweet!) and subtle flavor. They serve coffees, different types of mochi, cakes, and more! The cakes and mochi are soft and fluffy and contain fresh fruit/filling. The desserts can seem expensive as a piece of mochi can cost $5 and small cakes $15+, but it is important to note that it is a small business and everything is made fresh! The ambience is also perfect for a friend date or study session. The booths are comfortable and the tables are kept pretty clean. They generally play light jazz and instrumental music. The service is amazing. They answer any questions you have and pack your orders in a timely manner. I always look forward to coming again!

I've been wanting to try a new dessert place and came across Yiko Yiko from an ad that I had come across regarding best desserts in San Diego! I tried the Matcha Green Tea Mochi Balls and they were OK. It came in a To-go box of 11 in total mochi balls with 2 sides (whipped cream and matcha crunch). I'm glad they paired it with the dipping sauces or else the Mochi balls would have been too bland. Price wise, it was around $10-11 after tax which is pretty expensive almost at $1/mochi ball and it's only small bite size. Seating is limited, roughly 4 low tables and 3 high chairs. The cushion on the seats is very worn out so you may find yourself sink into the seat which wasn't comfortable at all. I ended up taking my dessert to-go after sampling one. I didn't get a chance to try their mini cakes but they look decadent. It's quite small for the price. Service was quick since you order at the front and then they will deliver your dessert shortly thereafter. Parking is good since the location is in a mini plaza around other nearby restaurants.

I was able to try 3 items:Strawberry cream cake, taro cream mochi and also durian mochi.EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS.We came in around 8:30PM however they do close at 9PM, which meant things were a bit more limited. But, I have only good things to say about this place. You can taste the freshness and lightness of each dessert. It is honestly so delicious and I can't wait to come back and repurchase! It can be a bit on the pricey side but you pay for the quality.Cake $14 (enough for 2 people)Taro : around $6Durian mochi: around $5.50

I came back and picked up an Organic Sea Salt Oreo Chocolate Mini Cake. It was spongy, light and not sickly sweet. The flavor was not overpowering and I would have preferred more of a chocolate taste. The cake is expensive for its portion size, but the presentation was cute and makes you feel happy. I'd still return to try more cakes and mochi. Service was friendly and there was only one person at the front who did a great job of managing the small line of customers as quickly as possible.

Yummy strawberry cake. The cake was so fluffy and the cream was so light. I can't wait to try another flavor. The service was wonderful the lady was very helpful. The shop was super cute.

The strawberry cake was not too sweet. Strawberries are fresh and the cream was not too sweet. Angel food cake was moist & fluffy. We also tried to mango and red bean mochi. The whip cream was a nice touch inside, but I think its too much. The mochi is already very soft and moist the whip cream made it more messy to eat, and couldn't hardly taste the red beans nor the small slice of mango.
