Yoshino's Japanese Restaurant

The restaurant is quick in providing service, and has ample parking spaces. However, I found the food to be dry, flavorless and quite expensive considering the quality. I don't recommend the food.

Highly recommend! We enjoyed the Rainbow Sushi Roll, Green muscles plate and Alaskan sushi roll s. Absolutely fresh, beautifully prepared, served by the daughters of the family with great care and delight. Seated immediately. Immediate freeway access to 5 fwy. EZ and plentiful parking. Don't let the subtle beige double doors fool you, this was a very lovely, authentic experience! So pleased this delightful family worked hard and survived the pandemic years against all odds. VERY reasonable prices, so be SURE to tip well! We LOVE supporting local, quality, family business. Places like Yoshinos are the backbone of our local economy and our national pride. And so should you;-)

I have been meaning to eat here for a while. I finally ate here tonight with my daughter and was not disappointed. I ordered the Cali roll and beef teriyaki combo, my daughter ordered the chicken katsu and tempora combo. The food was amazing! I will definitely be dining here again and will highly recommend to others.
The restaurant was also very nice, comfortable and clean inside. The wait staff was also very friendly.

Visiting Yoshino's again for the several hundredth time, always a favorite, I love the mixed sushi tray appetizer, and the combination sesame chicken- sashimi. Have literally been going there for more than 40 years, even when they were a much smaller restaurant next door to the current location! 😋😊

Although it’s been around for 25+ years I never knew it existed. Glad to find it!!! Very reasonable prices for sushi and other dishes. Food was great! Attentive & friendly service from the Mom & Pop was an added bonus.

I got chicken Katsu lunch, it comes miso soup and salad with a lot of Katsu! If you need a lot of food, they got you with good price!

Appetizer Squid Legs tasted rubbery, Not Fresh. Katsu Don meat had a lot of chewy Fat. UPDATED July 16, 2025! Delicious Chicken Katsu, but look how little Rice they provide you? Japanese restaurant should be generous with 🍚 Rice.

Excellent all around!

Tried this place on a whim and it’s now one of our favorites Japanese food spots! Great food and service, reasonable prices (which is rare in San Diego, and cute cozy atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back.
