The owners of Yum Zab are very nice. The food is excellent. Good quality, fresh and priced inexpensive. Usually they’re open late. Which isn’t easy to find in a good take out place these days in PB. Yum Zab is hole in the wall take out only and made to order street food set up, but they do have a little dining area along the sidewalk.You must order online, or on their iPad menu by the pickup window. There’s plenty of different options. Something for everyone. Vegan and vegetarian options. Everything is very good. My husband really loves all their fried chicken. I love the salad bowl with rice, modified to vegan. I’ve also had the Japanese Curry Bowl with vegan fried chicken they use as a meat substitute. That’s very good as well. Parking is only available on the street. Definitely worth a try. We’re regular customers now. You will be treated politely and your food will come out fast, fresh and hot.Vegetarian options: Any of their meat bowls can be replaced with their vegan meat substitutions upon request.Dietary restrictions: Vegan and vegetarian options available upon request.

I was sooo happy to run into this literal hole in the wall kitchen about a week ago. I met and chatted with the owners Klin and Ai who were so gracious and nice to talk to. Let me just say, as a chef myself I love when I find places like this that are making REAL FOOD people!! Everything these days is so chain, I personally barely eat out because I can just make better food at home and for cheaper. But let's be real, even I need a break from cooking. But when I order out I want it to be fire ??? not mid, you know? I could tell just by watching them cook, the skill, the technique, and the quality of ingredients this was gonna be exceptional... and it was! Thank you Klin and Ai for everything and especially for letting me chat you up (and basically distract you - even though you still didn't skip a beat ?) Can't wait until my next visit!! ???

We visited this hole-in-the-wall at Pacific Beach looking for some late night Asian food, and Yum Zab definitely delivered! Klin was so nice and even delivered to our car in the rain. He also gave us a free Thai tea for checking in on Yelp! As for the food which came promptly, we got the Hainanese Chicken Garlic Ginger Rice, which was filled with fragrant flavors and came with the perfect soup for a rainy day. My personal favorite was the Seoul Nashville Fried Chicken Rice Bowl, which I added spice to. It was perfectly crunchy and packed a spicy kick that I absolutely loved. We found ourselves filled up by the meal and will definitely be returning to try more options!

I’m obsessed with this spot. The Hainanese chicken literally tastes home made. I’ve tried a few flavors of the fried chicken bowls and they’re all great. The mandu and kimchi are TOP notch. Can’t say enough good things! Also the staff is incredibly kind.

So stoked this place jumped in this spot. Eaten here twice and have been very satisfied both times! The thai basil chicken and tamarind chicken were fire. Also, BULGOGI gyoza? Def do not not order those, incredible!
