The price doesn’t make sense anymore for a fast food . The food is not the same as the beginning. The meat is very salty, the portion are getting smaller. I tried to support this business in the past but the place has changed a lot recently. I can’t recommend it anymore. I hope they change their approach to the customer feedback

Way too salty. Could not eat the chicken platter because of too much salt. When they stated the platter comes with “vegetables” they mean lettuce and raw onions. That is it.

The food did not taste like other Greek food I have tried befoe. The meat was very dry and had little flavor. The bread was thin and they had lettuce in there which I have not seen in other Greek places. To me it tasted like street middle eastern food and not Greek.

I can’t say enough good things about Zgara! From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with warm hospitality that makes you feel like family. The food is absolutely incredible everything is fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The gyro is hands down the best I’ve ever had, the meats are juicy and seasoned just right, and the tzatziki sauce is so authentic and delicious.

I saw the stellar reviews so I came in with some high expectations, and I think overall it was okay. I'd come back if I was in the neighborhood and craving a Greek gyro. I wish the meat could have been more flavorful, but I do think the sheer amount oc meat they give you (a mountain) does make up for it. Best gyros I've had? No, but it's definitely decent and I'd come back.

I've been searching for a decent Greek spot in SD for a while now, and sadly, after the great reviews of Zgara, this isn't it
They claim to be authentic, but the flavor just isn't there. Their gyro meat is on the dry side, not succulent like you get in just about any souvlatzidiko in Greece. Their pita is soft, but not grilled at all and has little flavor. Their tzatziki has little to no garlic in it, and this tasted like plain yogurt. The single tomato slice was tasteless and more pink than red. And why is there lettuce in a gyro?
The search continues...
The fries were decent though.
