They had a pretty long line, but it was SO worth the wait! The guys working are super friendly and accommodating, and the food is top-notch! I was skeptical cause I'm from Hawaii, and we pride ourselves in our poke and fresh fish. But this was next level! Never heard of a sushi burrito (I got the Black Widow sushi burrito) until now (and theyre HUGE), and I don't think I can live without it!

Ken started the food truck in 2018 and they are now expanding to a second truck! Shout out to Ken and his great memory. I ate at Z Buddies a few years back when they first started at a local brewery. I believed in their food then and it's only gotten better! We tried the shrimp tempura as an appetizer and for the mains we did the Mt.Fuji burrito and I paid for the Double Dragon Sushi burrito. Come hungry because these sushi burritos are gigantic. We could only finish half and took the rest home. The Mt. Fuji is packed with fresh salmon, tuna, cucumber, spring mix, avocado, imitation crab and spicy mayo. It's a huge sushi roll who am in kidding! It was delicious. But I have to say the Double Dragon was my favorite. Tempura shrimp, carrots, cucumber, spring mix, imitation crab and eel sauce. It was so good! The shrimp tempura appetizer comes laid out on a bed of spring mix and sides of spicy mayo. Of course that did not last long we powered through those quick! The truck is located in South Park in a Target parking lot. Made it so much easier to park! No seating but they are parked next to a brick wall where you can sit and eat, which we did. The food came out so quick.Big shout out to Ken and his team. It was another great experience at Z Buddies! They also cater so keep them in mind for your next event! Check out their website Ken has a calendar of where they will be parked next.

Surprisingly sushi rolls and Japanese food is actually pretty darn good at this food truck! We were at Uncorked Wine Festival at Del Mar on 8/13/2022 and Z’s was one of the 6 food trucks that was there. We got the crunchy roll ($14) and chicken karaage ($9) to share. Perfect amount to share between both of us and filling. Had no idea food at a food truck could be so amazing!

Please come back to El Dorado! The Karaage and Cali rolls were the best I've ever had in years!! Would have loved it with some hot green tea or calico. :)

I would not have come across this food truck had I not heard about it through yelp. The food truck is parked adjacent to the Target in South Park. Although the location is a bit inconspicuous, there is another food truck parked next to it, which makes it easier to spot.I ordered the chicken kaarage and Mt Fuji sushi burrito. The chicken kaarage had a bit too much breading, but it was still good. I’ll probably opt for the oysters or takoyaki next time. The burrito was huge! They did not skimp out on the salmon and tuna. Since I don’t like spicy mayo, I asked to have that replaced with the eel sauce. They did omit the spicy mayo, but I couldn’t really taste the eel sauce. Nevertheless, the burrito was well constructed and delicious. Definitely a great bang for your buck.

What great value for the amount of food. The takoyaki were freshly fried and so yummy!

Delicious Katsu chicken and rainbow roll! The Katsu chicken is perfectly crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside, and the accompanying sauce is amazing. The sushi didn't have too much rice, and had fresh fish.We already ate some, so the photos aren't perfect. We really hope they'll consistently return to the Grape Street target parking lot.

We got the poke sushi burrito and black widow sushi burrito. Both were very good! The ingredients were fresh (fish included) and the food came in paper (not plastic) containers. Highly recommend and we'll be going back!
