While visiting from out of town this past weekend, we stopped in because we wanted to try a local place for lunch. Our sandwiches were fantastic! The bread was amazing and my husband said it was the best Cubano he'd ever had! So glad we gave it a try and would recommend it.

I wish I had taken a picture of my sandwich, but I ate it too fast 😅. Hands down one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had, better than any sandwich chain I’ve been to.

I ordered the Capitola Pastrami and highly recommend it! Their soups are also full of flavor.

My wife had the Avocado BLT, and that one is definitely worth recommending as well.

Amazing! I'm new to the neighborhood and went to Papas Best for the first time in November 2025. Simply delicious. I had the lunch special (1/2 a sandwich and fresh made soup-I chose BBQ) and my husband had a Cuban. We were blown away by how good everything was, and we'll definitely be back. Also, the woman at the register taking orders was incredibly nice and had great menu recommendations, so bonus for the great customer service! Highly recommend this place!
