Been on the prowl for a new spot for a good breakfast burrito in our new area. It's been more miss than hit with some places charging way too much. Decided to give Taqueria Poncitlan a try and OMG it was amazing and far better than our previous regular place.
I opted for the chorizo, beans, and egg burrito for $10.99 but added avocado, tomatoes, and cheese bringing it to around $14...and still cheaper than some of the $16+ price at other spots.
This thing was huge!! They gave me the green and red salsa which were both great. I would get it with pico de gallo next time instead of tomatoes. Flavor, texture, and freshness was exceptional. Plenty of seating with friendly staff with a casual setting and a TV. Finally found our go-to spot for breakfast burritos!! Woohoo!!

It's a nice family owned business. the Restaurant is beautiful 😍 They have authentic Mexican hand carved wooden frames with beautiful paintings. while I waited for my food, I admired all the art in the restaurant.
The people there are really nice and inviting. The food tasted like my abuelitas cooking, even my kids loved it ❤️ if you're looking for authentic Mexican food, I recommend this spot!

I liked the A placard 🪧 on the window 🪟. Had a simple been and cheese 🧀 burrito 🌯. It was a healthy size. They give you red and green 💚 salsa and both have good flavor so I took home what salsa I didn't consume. As for there burrito 🌯, there was nothing left!😋

Great food and a reasonable price. Unfortunately the service is below average. The girl at the front when asked for a menu rudely said that's why I'm turning on the screen and walked away and proceeded to complain about her kids to the cook in back where she stayed. No motivation to come back..
I had tacos and they were burned along with meat. My husband had the carne asada plate. They give him a plastic fork and no knife to cut the meat. No salt or pepper on the table. No chips or salad as they do in other restaurants. Never came to the table to ask if there was anything else we might want or need. The 2 ladies were too busy playing music and singing along with the music to worry about the customers. I will not be back.

First of all, When we walked in, the place was empty...which speaks for itself. Next, The lady that took our order never smiled once and looked disappointed to see us. Lastly, the food was weak and flavorless. I ordered a chicken burrito and it was pretty much all beans...I could hardly find and chicken at all. My wife did not like her asada tacos either. We won't be returning.
