They told me the only thing Vegana was their vegan tamales, in red or green. Both were wonderful. The rice and two sauces were not vegan but red and green salsa was. They double checked. The beans were vegan, excellent. Happy friendly loving staff.

I just want to let you know that today I arrived with my family expecting a proper welcome from a restaurant with good food, but my family and I were greatly disappointed by the staff. I don't know the name of the woman who was terrible with her service, to the point that I had to leave there with my family. They didn't even say good morning or welcome, much less bring us the menu. My wife asked them and they still haven't even answered us. They should hire staff that really likes not only working, but that loves their job. Thank you.

This restaurant located in the city of Pacoima is amazing, once I walked in I was surprised, nice Friday Kaloh painting on the main entrance, high ceiling, a nice bar, very friendly and helpful staff, I feel that the restaurant has a very old fashioned romantic ambience, just lovely, and what makes the place even better is the roof top, where anyone can enjoy a meal, specially if it's evening time, there are 3 tables where you could take a date or even yourself to enjoy the sunset but it'll be way better to have someone, the string lights makes it more romantic. There is also a kind of private room , where you could easily enjoy the street view while enjoying the food. The food is absolutely delicious, last week I saw this place and I have been going 4 times already, they even make the tamales, no frozen food. I had a house special I believe it is, comes with 2 eggsany style ,2 slices of bread and a tamale of your choice. Personally I loved their food and I highly recommend this place, don't get me wrong if someone doesn't like the taste but let's be fair, we all have a different taste, but for me the food is delicious, and very affordable price. If I'm ever around I'll definitely have to try a new dish

Very cozy place, we were a party of 10 adults and service was very friendly, prompt and accurate, food has a very traditional mexican taste to it, plenty of parking in the back of the building, reasonable prices

I notice that food changed. I tend to order red meat tamale. This time I ate this, too much soggy, too much spices tastes not great as used to be.

I haven't been to this place in quite sometime now because I had a bad experience previously and so today I wanted to give it another try since ownership changed but unfortunately I was displeased.I went to eat with my two girls. I asked for a tamale de pollo along with other items. When our food finally arrived I inquire about the tamale de pollo I had order and she said it would come we start eating and I start sharing my food with my youngest because she was waiting on the tamale and it never came so her crape got cold because she keept waiting on her tamale. She ate some of it but she still wanted her tamale but at this point my oldest and I where done with our food. I went up to the counter to pay and also because I didn't want to be charge a tamale I never got and the girl who took our order was dealing with another issue in the kitchen coming in and out and she see me come up to the counter doesn't say a word and just went inside the kitchen and walked away. Another employee asked me if I had been helped and I told her I wanted a to go box and that I wanted to pay and that I didn't get the tamale de pollo so I didn't want it to be charge and she said the girl never put it in my order I was upset because I had ask her the second time when she had brought our food about the tamale. They seem very unorganized and for the price and the customer service you guys are better of at another restaurant.

Best tamal option for vegetarians! I discovered this place during the pandemic and I’m a huge fan since they make their tamales without lard. I highly recommend! You won’t be disappointed. They are tasty, and very big for their price. I love the rajas con queso & veggie tamales. I keep going back every couple of months. Side note: I don’t care for their cafe de olla (too sweet and not caffeinated enough) but they have a quite varied food selection- something for everyone! Such a hidden gem

Family and friends, we all love this place. It's one of our usual spots for brunch Sundays after church. They serve staple Mexican dishes as well as some American. Chilaquiles and huevos con chorizo are some of our faves! Great place, must try!

Service was slow, There was only one server during lunch time , the tamales tasted like they were a week old, the chicken in tamales was very dry and the green sauce tasted sour because green tomatoes were old,

The chiliquenes are my go to item with two eggs on top...of course the tamales are always excellent...

Bought Eggs Rancheros. Saddest $14 I ever spent. This place is for the bougie. Expensive for so little. Table Spoon full of rice and beans. Not bad if I wanted so little of something. Plus their advertised prices infront are fake. $7.99 was the price I saw. Paid double for half the food.
This was my second try on this place. Definitely not coming back.

They run out of vegan tamales but they aren’t replenishing them very quickly

It seems I may have had a bit of a mixed experience at this restaurant. As a huge fan of homemade tamales, I was really looking forward to trying the Tamale Bowl. However, it didn’t quite match my expectations. I had envisioned something similar to a Chipotle-style bowl, but instead received a dish that felt more like a fresh, health-inspired bowl filled with an abundance of veggies. On the positive side, my sister's Chili Relleno looked absolutely delicious and definitely caught my eye! In hindsight, I might have been better off choosing that or sticking with the classic tamales. Overall, while I didn't find what I was hoping for, I can appreciate the emphasis on fresh ingredients. I may give this place another shot to explore more of the menu!
