This place scammed a few people when I went there the other night. I ordered 2x$14 velvet jukebox cocktails and 2x$8 beers. When I closed my tab, the bartender already charged my card without showing me the itemized receipt first. Luckily I had checked the receipt that was sent to my phone before we left because they charged us $16 for each drink titled as "Custom Amount". I had to go back to have them give me a refund and recharge me appropriately. When I spoke to a few other people that night about the situation, they noticed they were all charged similarly. The bartender seemed like he knew exactly what he was doing. He had the nerve to gaslight me too! Check your receipts when you come here!

Matt is an awesome bar tender! Super knowledgeable! The espresso martini is amazing. Highly recommended

Both bartenders in Friday night were extremely excellent. Matt was great with patron interactions and I unfortunately forget the name of the other bartender on shift, but he made an excellent drink reccomendation that was an instant favourite.

Last stop during our night out and it was the perfect end-point. Super chill vibes, dimly lit but also packed in a good way. The bartender was hilarious and totally went along with us asking for a single shot that is good, but also strong but also different but also 10 other things. All in all, we'll be back!

Used to be a good place, but that’s many years ago. Now it’s pretty dead and they have jackass bartenders who insult customers for noticing when the wrong spirit is used in a classic cocktail.

15 Romelo is such a nice bar to spend the night in North Beach at! I came around 9pm on Friday, and it was not packed like some of the other North Beach bars, but had a good number of people to keep the energy up. It's tucked away in an alley so it's hard to find unless you're mapping there specifically. The bartender was very friendly and I loved all the drinks we got. Highly recommend if you're looking for a spot more intimate but lively to have a drink!

I love hidden-away neighborhood gems like this. Plus, no TV makes for a great vibe.

House-designed cocktails were great and reasonably priced when compared to what cocktails can cost in SF. The food was ok, nothing bad, but not exciting like the cocktails. Care in cooking was a little inconsistent, some apps were barely warmed through, and better execution of what they have would greatly improve the overall experience when stopping in for more than one drink. Do go for great drinks!

Trendy spot tucked away in an alley in North Beach. Easy to miss unless you're looking for it, so even though it was at full capacity on Friday night, there was no line at the door. Service was pretty quick. Really dark, but wasn't super noisy, so conversations were easy to have. Our group only stopped in for one round. I tried the Aphrodite, which I liked. It seemed my friends generally liked their choices, too. I'd be interested to try more of the menu (drink and food), maybe experience the vibe at the bar, and update my review in the future. There's a jukebox and tiny photo booth in the corner by the front door. Seems to be a solid choice if you're looking for somewhere more intimate and laidback.

I had to leave a review for the bartender mostly. He was super efficient and really nice. The drink was delicious and the atmosphere is great. It was our last bar of the night and definitely a good way to end the SF trip. I forget the bartenders name but if you see this, thanks for giving my friends and me a great night.

Nero&Seneca Maidenlane

15 Romolo cocktail bar was the perfect place for Nero and Seneca to unwind after a long day of adventures. The pimm’s cocktail was a refreshing treat and Gabriel, the bartender, was fantastic. He not only mixed amazing drinks but also made us feel welcome and at ease. The bar is known for its cool drinks and cool vibes, and it lived up to its reputation for great cocktails.Nero and Seneca were the stars of our visit, but it's important to note that they didn't consume any alcohol or food that wasn't doggy approved.Disclaimer: No dogs were harmed or given any alcohol or non-dog-friendly food during our visit.Overall, 15 Romolo is highly recommended for anyone looking for amazing drinks, great conversation, and a relaxed atmosphere. Gabriel, the bartender, was truly exceptional and made our visit unforgettable. Don't miss the opportunity to experience this gem for yourself!
