The food was decent. You get a lot of food for the price. The staff was quiet and serviceable. We were grateful to find them open, almost everything else on the street was closed or boarded up. We had arrived too early to get into our air bnb, and needed to hang somewhere close. We didn't know the neighborhood at all. There seemed to be 2-3 times more of the homeless in the streets of San Francisco, compared to home. This made me sad.

“Wow! Just had an amazing meal at the new 16th Street Diner. The omelette was fluffy and packed with flavor, and the chicken sandwich was crispy and juicy. The service was top-notch, and the overall vibe of the place was super positive. So glad I tried this new spot – I’ll definitely be back!”

The staff here are attentive, sweet, and pleasant to talk to if you engage them. Their food is some of the most affordable & wholesome I've had since moving to SF. A new local favorite of mine that I really recommend.

Their very hearty chicken soup warmed my soul on a rainy day.
