Great experience with wonderful staff who guided us expertly through the meal. Unique flavors and fantastic presentation. It was a memorable meal!
Loved the food. Our waiter was amazing. Everything spot on. We arrived earlier than our reservation and got seated right then and there. The waiters explained what consisted of every meal and the menu and dishes we so creative. Highly recommend to everyone to come enjoy. My boyfriend and I celebrated our 4 year dating anniversary and the waiter and staff were very accommodating. Absolutely love this place will be back again.
It was valentine's and some of our food was not hot. It was barely warm. They did bring us new food but it definitely affected the evening.
We visited ABACÁ for their Valentine's Day tasting menu, expecting a standout experience given the restaurant's reputation and the price point. Much of the evening was enjoyable, but unfortunately one major issue overshadowed the meal. The wagyu beef Wellington, which should have been a highlight of the tasting, was served well done and extremely dry. For a dish of this caliber—and especially wagyu—I would expect it to be prepared rare to medium rare at most. Instead, it lacked moisture entirely and was difficult to enjoy. Considering this was a main course on a premium tasting menu, it was disappointing that it reached the table in that condition at all. Given that we spent over $400 for two people, I expected a higher level of attention to detail. At this level, it's reasonable to assume that either the kitchen or the service staff would catch a preparation issue before serving the dish. Unfortunately, that did not happen, which made the experience feel inconsistent with the restaurant's reputation. It was also concerning that full payment was required in advance when booking and that a 20% gratuity was automatically added. With that level of upfront commitment, we anticipated a more polished and carefully executed dining experience overall. While there were positive aspects to the evening, this particular issue left us questioning whether we would return. For a restaurant operating at this price and prestige level, execution and quality control need to be far more consistent.
Glad to see a Michelin star Filipino restaurant to elevate the Filipino cuisine. Food, ambience and the service is great! I hope more people come out and try!
Excellent food, impeccable service! I'm a big fan of Chef Francis' menus!! Highly recommended.
We had the chef dinner. They were even able to give it to me dairy free (I'm allergic to dairy). I'm shocked how delightful it was. Each dish was a surprise. Tony, our waiter was outstanding. I highly recommend.
Abaca was close to our hotel, but we were attracted by the idea of dining at a restaurant that offered relatively rare high-end Filipino cuisine. We were not disappointed! The entire experience was wonderful. We chose the "Family Style" menu, and recommend it highly. It changes daily, so there is always going to be a surprise. From the caviar, skewers, lumpia egg rolls, soups, and other delights, it was a wonderful culinary experience, and a revellation for anyone who has not experienced anything beyond adobo for Filipino cuisine. The main dishes in this large array of ten to tweive courses was black cod and a pork cop, both of which were prepared with coconut cream, lemon grass, and many spices. We do not drink, but noticed an extensive cocktail and wine list. The service was exceptional througout the evening. This restaurant deserves a Michelin sar (or two). We will recommend it to our friends, and will return ourselves.
We always love coming here and experiencing the twist of Filipino foods these artist give us. I also love that they are so flexible on the food limitations I'm not able to consume. Everything was delicious.
We thoroughly enjoyed the Kamayan experience at Abaca! What a fantastic food experience! Loved every unique bite.

Fantastic Experience! Will be back soon! Very impressed with the Service. Of Course the Food was incredibly Delicious!
Phi (our waiter) was very welcoming, and great fun! Food was excellent. I've never tasted Filipino food that was this good, and I've been eating it for 30+ years. Abaca re-defined the cuisine, in a fantastic way. Price was high, of course, but not painful. Worth the price, especially since they gave us FANTASTIC desserts for my wife's birthday. Couldn't be happier! My only non-perfect ratings were due to the bartender staff bringing out 2 drinks we didn't order(?) Not an issue for us, they took them back without charging us. Just thought it was a slight flaw in an otherwise perfect experience. Will definitely go back! I hear the brunches are amazing as well!
Our dinner experience was excellent. We had never had Philippino cuisine, so many of the dishes were new to us. We did the set tasting menu and were very happy we did. Even the cocktails reflected ingredients that we did not know and we were very pleased at the new tastes. The staff was excellent, happy to talk to us about the food and see to it that we were satisfied with everything. Highly recommended.
One of the best tasting menu we had. Kind of heartwarming as the taste is familiar to a native Filipino taste buds with a superb twist of modern touch! We will surely be back. I love the liver pate, caviar dish, sisig pudding, clam chowder with filipino twist, sisig rice was a bit salty but was good if it has less saltiness. Love the adobo skewers and was so much fun having Tony attend to our gustatory experience!
