Eccellente! Mangiamo ad Absenthe prima dei concerti, ed è sempre una buna esperienza. Mi piace un sacco del i loro cocktail, deliziosi!!
A bit crowded on Symphony nights, but the staff understand the timing of the shows and keeps the meal moving.
One of my favorite places to take friends for a festive and delicious meal. The place feels like a trip to France except everyone speaks English. 😅 The menu is diverse and the flavors are beautiful. Expertly cooked. Wonderful wine selection. Count me as a forever fan.
The salade lyonnaise was not good. It had too many mushrooms and wasn't seasoned properly. The service was slow and spotty. The oysters came randomly after our mains, and they didn't tell us which were which. It took a long time for them to take our order after we were seated, and this was a pre-theater reservation.
We had an excellent lunch before the SF Opera and our service was fantastic! Everything was delicious.
I went for the food and was completely satisfied in that respect. The service was as excellent as would be expected for a restaurant in their price range. For a combination restaurant and local bar, the noise level was modest. Great Place! 5 Stars.
Our very entertaining waiter juggled our party of four's eclectic selections, bringing drinks, dishes, and wine with perfect timing and enabling us to get to the opera house in plenty of time. We always order the Sazeracs.
Great burgers, delicious desserts, and awesome staff!
What a fantastic experience. We started at the bar with a drink before dinner and the team was friendly, fast and created a delicious Hugo Spritz. Dinner was amazing. We had some of the best service we have had in years. The server was friendly, funny and very helpful. The food was delicious. Absinthe shoukd be on everyone's go to list!
I made a request for a table in the main dining room against a wall because of my hearing loss and that table was given to a party that arrived before me and the hostess was obviously frazzled and had not planned the tables. Her manager had to go through the reservations with her and discuss where to put people.

Absinthe is one of my favorite restaurants! Have been going for 22 years! Always a wonderful experience 🥰
Four of us had a pleasant dinner experience at Absinthe on a Wednesday evening. The service and setting were very good. The noise level was low so it was easy to have conversations. The food quality overall was very good. The onion soup was excellent. The cucumber soup was fresh tasting and light. The entrees (steaks, fish and duck breast) were good. The cheese burger was just ok. The fries were good. Didn't taste any different between regular fries and duck fat fries.
We were thrilled to return to an old favorite. We perform at San Francisco Opera, and Absinthe is always a five star go-to. We sat outside in the covered sidewalk seating, and had delicious hamburgers, and a fantastic cosmopolitan! Always stellar.
Absolutely fantastic dinner. Enjoy the location, great service and want to come again. Thank you for a lovely evening.
Service was amazing. Food was 7/10, good but not amazing. Inside smelled like Pinsole so we sat outside but every time a bus went by, the plastic windows on the outdoor seating made the entire structure shake.
