We got lunch here while at the museum for the day. I got a slice of pepperoni pizza and an order of garlic fries. The garlic fries came in a giant bowl that was far more than the appetizer I expected. It could be a meal all by itself. The pizza slice was middling but I did enjoy the fries. I also ordered one of their special lattes which was very sweet.
Inside the Academy, this café is a reliable spot for families to grab lunch without leaving the museum. It’s cafeteria-style with multiple stations—pizza, sandwiches, sushi, and plant-based bowls. My family found the seating plentiful and the staff efficient, though the food quality was average and prices leaned high. Good for convenience, not culinary thrills.
Talk about inflated pricing. The food and atmosphere may be good, but the price takes away from all of it and ultimately just leaves you with guilt. They had a lot of options, but everything was unjustifiably expensive. $11 for one slice of pizza? Really? It didn't even look that appetizing. Even a side of fries, regular, unseasoned fries, was $8. You can get 20 nuggets and a double cheeseburger at McDonald's for less than that. Me and my party wanted actual lunch, but...
