Really great service, they took great care of us and made my Husband's birthday a really special occasion.
This was my first visit to the new SF location. The customer service was excellent with the servers being very attentive. The food was delicious. We had the Hokkaido bread, oysters, bone marrow, rib eye steak, mushroom and fried rice sides. Everything we ate was excellent and would highly recommend. The atmosphere in the restaurant was fun with energetic music.
Regardless how we ordered our steak's, they were all served black and blue; rare to raw in the middle. Most orders were for medium to medium well. Long time customer to multiple locations, SF not again.
It's a more elegant and pleasant experience than any steakhouse I've ever been to, and I've been to many. It's really excellent and the service is incomparable.
Since their move to this new location, we wish they had a tasting menu. Service and food are still impeccable and we look forward to eating the only institution that makes Wagyu the right way!
First timers and it was a good experience. Our server David was great! Prime rib was delish, filet mignon was perfect. I ordered the halibut and wasn't too happy with it, But other than that, we enjoyed it!
The steaks are exceptionally juicy and tender. The staff provides outstanding service. I highly recommend this steakhouse to anyone visiting the city and seeking a high-quality steak dining experience. Thank you
Love dinner at the Counter and watching the action of the food prep So many non-steak delicious options! Hamachi shooters and scallops are my favorites. Great wine-pairing by their smiling som, Alex 👍🏻 A new favorite dining spot for us who live in the Union Square area.
Had a wonderful dinner celebrating my friend's birthday. The entire staff was amazing and food was delicious! Can't wait to go back.
The food is very delicious, the environment and atmosphere are very good. A restaurant worth recommending

First time at Alexander's since they moved to the new location; it was a great ambiance. We went for Restaurant Week. The food was amazing and the four course Restaurant Week menu was a great value. Our server started out strong and very friendly. Toward the end of the meal, we were left more to our own devices and had to flag him down for coffee, which was a little disappointing. Other than that, a very nice experience.
The special menu available during Restaurant Week was for a 4-course dinner, and included choice of fish (grilled sea bass) or steak (angus beef). There was a stong French influence in the preparation and presentation for a fine dining experience. The specially priced dinner is an exceptional value for the money, and we hope that Alexander's will continue to offer this type of menu in the future.
Great food and service. Not as good ambiance as their old premises but okay. The Wagyu steak is expensive but delicious and perfectly prepared.
Alexander‘s is a decent Steakhouse. Quality is good but for much too high prices. Good service with friendly people - cool ambiance - a fantastic wine list.
Did not like the new location, food was ok but below what I would expect for meal that cost $200/ per person. Ordered the New York cut and it was tough and over rested.
