Curry vegetable risotto was disappointing - few veggies and light on flavor. Sea bass was unremarkable at $56. Brussels sprouts were the highlight.

Overall experience was 4 stars. The biggest issue was the wait times. It took 10 minutes to get our drink order in and another 10 to get them served to us. We had planned on having a drink before ordering the appetizers, but at the point we actually received the drinks we ordered the appetizers and our main courses at the same time. The waiter raved about the sea bass, so 4 of us ordered it. Well, he came back and they only had 3. One of us ordered the salmon. Appetizers came - the prawns were amazing, chicken wings were great (maybe a little salty), and the mussels were not my thing, but the table seemed to enjoy them. Our meals came out...well all but the salmon. It also looked like the sea bass portions had been chopped in half in order to get the last few meals out of it. It took an extra 5-7 mins to get the salmon out which just makes the table uncomfortable. The food is great, the service is just above average. We were also seated upstairs which is near a restroom. There was a lot of employee usage in that bathroom which is just not a good look. With all the great dining options in SF. I'll prob skip this one next time.

I had a great experience at Aliment. The Brussels sprouts were perfectly crispy without being drenched in oil, and the chickpea burger was as beautiful as it was nourishing. The fried chicken sandwich was absolutely delicious as well. Sam was incredibly helpful and welcoming, which made the visit even better. The mocktail I tried was fantastic, and the Old Fashioned was pleasantly strong—just the way it should be. Overall, a wonderful meal with excellent service. Highly recommend!

I felt that there was a misalignment with the cost of food to quality of food. We all left feeling a bit underwhelmed by our meals. However, I will say the restaurant was very accommodating and easy to work with when it came to handling our big party. I think they just need to dial in their menu.

The staff was amazing. They make you feel at home and very inviting. The Buffalo sliders were to die for. The espresso martinis were smooth not to sweet and still had a great coffee taste. Will definitely be coming back. Love the family atmosphere.

Pros: The food was delicious. (see more below) Less pro: We were seated upstairs right next to a restroom which is never super pleasant. Seems like they should take out that last table so that there's at least more space and no one sitting at that last table feels like they need to pull their feet in so that people won't trip on their way in to the loo. It was also quite warm but not unbearable. Also, the staff was hustling and trying to keep up, but either they were understaffed or not well organized because there would be long periods when no one would come by or deliver food or drinks. Again, the food was great. We had the panko prawn starter, and the salmon and lamb chop entree. Even my husband noted that I ate more of it than I usually do because it was soooo yummy. If I were in the area, I would probably give it another try.

It was extremely busy and took staff approximately 20 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. We had no idea who our server was because we interacted with three different staff members. Once it arrived the food was quite good, except for the grilled asparagus, which was completely dried out and barely edible. We should not have been charged for that side dish, but because the person we told was not the same person who brought us our check, it was not comped. Despite that and despite the dessert we wanted being out of stock we did enjoy our meal.

Excellent find for pre-show dinner/date night. Wife & I decided to order several apps vs entrees & could not be more thrilled! Had chickpea “meatballs”, grilled asparagus, garlic mashed potatoes (very perfectly seasoned ) & cranapple salad. Each serving size was plentiful. Wife had the smoke show (ordered twice😉; I had the herbal mocktail which was absolutely refreshing!) Staff was very attentive without being intrusive. Check it out! Definitely on our list for return trip. Cheers!

This our second time visiting this restaurant. About the same time last year. Food wasn’t memorable- and the service was not that great this time.

Won’t be coming back. And don’t recommend this place for a fancy dinner/date.

Please verify everything on the menu if you have allergies. The menu claimed the pork chops were DF (dairy free) but when I verified they said it was only “partially dairy free” because the pork chops were cooked in butter. For those in my party with no allergies they said the food was great. But PLEASE VERIFY anything you order because the menu isn’t accurate.
3 stars bc the menu isn’t accurate

I ended up getting the vegan risotto which I didn’t enjoy very much but they took it off the bill so that was very kind of them.

We were not very impressed. The online menu showed the ribeye at $44.00, when we got there the menu had it at $62. They advertise that the ribeye was prime, but it sure didn't seem prime. It was cut to be what looked like much less than 1/2” thick, very thin.... The flavor was way off, didn't taste fresh. I frequent prime steakhouses in Texas all the time and maybe I'm spoiled, but this was awful for $62. Will not go there again. The truffle fries were good so I filled up on those and barely ate the steak.

One of my favorites in SF. I visit the city once per month from Dallas and I come here every single time. Love it here!

Our food was OK. The fried Chicken was dry...so disappointing! Wait service was slow. My coconut panna cotta was tasteless, and too firm. My husband loved his vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce!

The food was great, the service was kind and responsive, the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Great vegetarian options. A perfect spot for a light cozy evening.

Everything was outstanding. The food was so delicious. I had the pork chop - cooked perfectly. My partner had the lamb chops. The drinks are also top notch. Our server made us feel like family. We ate here before going to a show. I will definitely come back. This place is my new go-to restaurant in the Union Square area. Love it!
