We didn't care when we went to pick up the order. It's been a long time.

Pessimo customer service, when they are busy they are badly educated.

One of my favorite vegetarian food spots in SF! Their veggie sandwich (w/ the spicy sauce) is soo good and packed with veggies and flavor. Would highly recommend, and they usually have a small line too. Very cute spot!

Service was bad. The lady was rude and said really inappropriate comments in Spanish to another acquaintant, but the gelato was ok. I got banana nut. Should've gotten cherry with dark chocolate. Small shop felt warming.

This place has the best gelato in the neighborhood. The place across the street from here with the crazy line does not come close but gets all the hype. Alimento also has reeeeeeaaally good Italian sandwiches, various charcuterie items and snacks, and a big drink selection. And a jar full of giant perfect pickles

Awful, rude place with terrible workers. Came 45 minutes before closing and opened the door only to get screamed at by the worker since they closed for 5 minutes to "clean the place." Rude, confusing, and completely uncomfortable. Would not go here ever again. Better tasting gelato places with kinder workers anywhere else.

The gelato was good and it wasn’t busy when we went (about 7:30pm). They have some chairs outside to sit and enjoy your desert. They have a lot of flavors to choose from.

Rude rude rude
The gelato here is great. It is a good texture (comparable to what I have had in Europe), cooled nicely, and importantly the flavors match the region. Through out the various countries that I have visited in Europe, gelato flavors tend to reflect local regional specialties (e.g. Poppy Seed gelato in the Czech Republic) in addition to the classic set of choices. Here you have the classic set, but also a set of more local flavors including things like Thai Tea gelato.

Shaadi runs a superb deli here ; and he’s made the place into the community gathering by installing parklets with comfortable chairs ; I vote for him for mayor for San Francisco !
After getting sandwich here, go to his nearby Cafe Angolo for Cappuccino .
All the staff are very rude

Amazing service and great food, especially the sandwiches. They use a lot of (perhaps all?) meats from Molinari deli, which is usually way crazy busy, so it’s much more convenient to go here to Alimento. Fantastic spicy spread on the sandwiches and nice Italian imported goods. Highly recommend.
Oh wow. The gelato here is spectacular.
I love a fun, quirky flavor so this was decision paralysis central. You only get one sample (cardamom was a bit tooo cardamom for me) so I full sent fig. Absolutely delicious. It’s been a week and I am still thinking about it.
The gelato isn’t too sweet and has the craziest texture. It’s kind of… wet… don’t know how else to put it but I mean that in the best way.
The smallest size is about $6 and be aware that 2/3 of us got some gelato on our clothes. Consume with caution. But do consume.
