I recently reached out to All Seas Wholesale as part of an attempt to find a reliable, quality provider of seafood to support our growing business needs at nobafood.com – a ready meal company with nationwide distribution.I was connected with Chris Kondo, a sales representative at the company. He explained to me that All Seas prided itself on being the #1 distributor of seafood in the Bay Area and would be excited to begin partnering with our company nobafood.com.After our telephonic conversation, I placed an order (in writing) with Chris. Chris accepted this order (in writing) and again let me know that he was extremely excited about the potential of our partnership. He also let me know (in writing) that our order would be delivered in the morning of 2/8.To my surprise, I was informed (in writing) by Chris, that our order would, in actuality, not be fulfilled as our credit application form had not yet been processed. This was confusing to me as I had already filled this out and sent to Chris in the evening of 2/7 (it should be noted that I also first received details of this requirement in the evening of 2/7).To add to my confusion, Chris also informed me (in writing) that All Seas would not be conducting any business with nobafood.com in the future, for reasons that remain unclear to me. I proceeded to source our seafood from another provider - Restaurant Depot at 2045 Evans Ave, 94124 (as a last resort and to cover our production schedule for that day). I might add that I highly recommend Joe, who is the on-site seafood manager at Restaurant Depot. Unfortunately Restaurant Depot does not process salmon, hence my search for a distribution company capable of processing salmon.Given the above context, I was extremely surprised, therefore, when our order was indeed delivered to our kitchen facility by Gustavo, a delivery driver.I would rate my overall experience with All Seas Wholesale at 3/5. The salmon does appear to be processed very nicely, however, I must admit that I found aspects of the customer and ordering experience confusing. To end on a positive note, Gustavo (delivery driver at All Seas) is a very nice chap and I thoroughly enjoyed my interactions with him!
