It's really disappointing to see people leave bad reviews that are based on business decisions the store has made in order to simply survive, and not the actual quality of the food or service. The store not being open when you want them to be open, or not having dozens of different donuts on hand, are business decisions, and calling it out does not belong in a review. Stop being a child and take a moment to understand what's been going on downtown and in SOMA the last few years, and how that's impacted food and beverage establishments in particular.Every time I've been here, my food is always fresh and delicious, and the service is friendly and excellent. That's what matters to me.

Used to be a 5star establishment, no question. However, it has slipped a bit in the last few years. The donuts are not baked as often, due to declining patronage, but the staff continue to be smiling and helpful as always.

Best little donut shop I have ever been to.The one small silver lining in the dark and dank days of APEC (my new swear word).I had to walk home four blocks because of the idiotic policies of the Secret Service Agents who made my home ground zero for APEC.Never would have found this pastry making gem otherwise!

You wouldn't know this place was still open unless you just knew. They aren't open nearly as long as most donut shops and certainly open the least amount of time compared to all other All Stars Donuts locations downtown. The oddest part is they are actually CLOSED Saturdays and Sundays, which just blows my mind. I'm not even certain how they've remained open, with most big, very successful businesses having to shut down and close their doors after COVID-19 years. Whatever the case, I'm happy to have them since they're a very short distance from my place with zero other competitors close by.

We went here to compare the apple fritters to those at Bob's Donuts. Here is the outcome. Both are excellent. However, All Star makes theirs more crunchy. The edges are cooked to perfection and can be broken off. The size? Enormous! And, worth every calorie. Trust me, get the apple fritter and you are set!
