Came with my family & we loved it. I got the eggs Benedict- super yummy! The owner’s husband is super kind & staff is very friendly. Told us about the history of the place! Gem of SF

Solid old school style breakfast diner that offers salsa verde on the side. Got 2 eggs, hash browns, ham, buttered toast, and a black tea for $19. Extremely fair price in sf for the amount of food

No line! Food came out hella quick! Classic Frisco vibes.

We had the Pancakes Delight & turned them into pancake sandwiches. The scalloped potato hash browns were unique yet deliciously soft with the perfect amount crunch.

Larry and Juan were outstanding! First time and I was so impressed! The omelette and bacon was perfect. The hash browns were delicious😋 I’ll definitely be back and probably walk from North beach to just eat at this wonderful diner 😁

This place is a perfect simple diner. That hash browns were so unique, soft and delicious. I’ve never had them with that type of crust.

The food is amazing, I usually get the chicken fried steak with a single pancake. I love the service, everyone is so nice too. Their house hot sauce is really great and flavorful. Al's is my go-to classic diner. Everyone likes to go to Four Chairs next door, but honestly Al's is where it's at!

Idk how this place has semi good reviews. The food was really disappointing and bland. The check was like 25% higher than the listed menu price, and had 0 itemization/explanation

4/25/25. Arrived to find that it was closed and not even open. Windows boarded up

Great place in the neighborhood! No frills old school diner serving up all your typical breakfast fares.

I like an old fashion diner style eatery but this place really didn’t do it for me. I had to sit at the front counter on a stool which I hate because the table section of the diner was closed. The country fried steak was nothing spectacular and the consistency of the gravy was too thick for a country fried steak in my opinion. The best part of the meal was the hash browns that were made in sort of a scalloped potatoes type of way which were absolutely perfect. But I’m always willing to give a place a second chance so I will be back again.
