Alushe Coffee Bar is a great family-run Mexican deli and casual restaurant in San Francisco's Inner Richmond district, on Geary near 7th Avenue. It is a favorite coffee shop offering a wide range of familiar Mexican casual food alongside an amazing selection of coffees and creative lattes. The space features a beautiful Mayan aesthetic with gorgeous full-wall murals that make the vibe warm, vibrant, and unique, feeling like somewhere in Latin America.
The menu includes delicious, hearty, and flavorful items. Food portions are humongous, with items like the Super Pollo Quesadilla being so thick and tasty it could feed two. The Yucateco croissant sandwich is filled with beans, tomatoes, onions, eggs, avocado, sour cream, and fresh Mexican cheese. Breakfast offerings like the Bacon & Avocado Breakfast Burrito with Chorizo added are also recommended, and they serve banana leaf tamales. It is a such a good breakfast spot, and also for lunch and dinner.
Their drinks are absolutely delicious. Options include smooth coffee, amazing lattes like the Venus latte (cardamom and lavender) or the Chairific Bananarama (banana oat milk chai), cold brew, horchata with espresso shots, and London Fog with lavender syrup. They offer homemade syrups, like rose. The drinks are not overly sweet but have plenty of sweeter options, too, such as the recommended Rise of Cupid.
The service is super nice, friendly, and incredibly sweet from a family team, with great and bubbly personality. The ambiance is clean with plenty of tables and chairs. It is a family-owned gem with good food, good people, good art, and good intentions, making it a highly recommended spot to check out in the area.
