This is a quaint little sushi restaurant with super friendly staff and really good food. This is the first time that I ever had raw seafood and I was worried that I wouldn't like it. However, I was greatly surprised and it was delicious. My only negative was that the Wasabi was too mild.
Their lunch specials are great values, especially the chirashi bowl. They are also one of the few sushi places that serve fresh wasabi as opposed to wasabi paste.

The only thing to nitpick here is that they serve the tea extremely hot. It's the kind of hot that somehow only parents can consume safely
This place is an absolute hidden gem of Mission Street. I went there once on a recommendation of a co-worker, expecting run-of-the-mill sushi... And I couldn't have been more wrong. This place is mind-blowing. The omakase is the best I've ever had outside of Japan, incredibly fresh, and the service is fun and friendly. Every time I'm in San Francisco, I have to stop at Amami because the trip just wouldn't be complete without it!
