Date visited 08/2024: San Francisco Centurion Lounge on a Monday at 5:30 p.m. wasn’t too crowded. It was easy to find, though that might be because I had studied the terminal map beforehand. I’ve found other Centurion Lounges like the one at LAX, more challenging to locate.
Staff was quick to clean up after meals, and the food selection was good (forgot to take pics). One thing I found odd was the announcement reminding guests not to put their feet up on the couches or chairs.
Over the years, the Centurion Lounge has changed. It feels more accessible, losing some of its exclusivity. While I appreciate having access, I’m starting to question whether the $700 annual membership is worth it especially when other lounges offer more justification for the price. Just my two cents.
Aside from that, the experience was smooth, and the lounge was easily walkable from my gates. Not bad overall, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

It was one of the best lounge experiences we've had. The food was wonderful. Lots of tasty vegetarian choices, which isn't always the case in the lounges. Nice comfy seating and pretty spacious. I wish we flew out of terminal 3 more often

It was nice until near closing time. About 20 minutes ahead of closing, the people working there starting talking loudly, banging silverware and plates, etc. I get it, you want to leave early. But you close at 11 and my flight is at 1am. Really guys.

Great food. Comfy seats. Not too crowded in the early am.

But only one toilet in the men's bathroom? Hope you haven't been holding it...

$50 for a guest!!! Please. No carry out containers or paper cups. What a cheap lounge. Unbelievable.

Located at the absolute far end of the airport and always crowded to the point of lines to get in and barely any seats available once you do get in.

Food was very good though.

So if you get here very early or have plenty of layover time and don't mind waiting, then exercise those cardholder privileges!

No issues. Comfortable seating, plenty of food and drink options. Nice to relax a bit after my 14 hour flight.

I was very disappointed with my experience at the AMEX Lounge. The bartender (he looks like Hindu or Arabic) was rude and unprofessional. I am fighting with him all time and I should to call manager. When I requested one more drink drink, he refused to make it without any explanation and seemed completely uninterested in providing good service. This is not the level of service I expect from a premium lounge, and it left me with a very negative impression.

This is a terrific lounge. I think another reviewer called it an oasis. Absolutely agree. It’s always so clean and the staff is really nice. The empty plates/glasses are quickly cleared. The restrooms are also maintained nicely. The music is at a relaxing yet entertaining level and there are quiet places for phone calls. The food and bar NEVER disappoint. The only issue I have with this lounge is the coffee. It is DREADFUL. I wish they could upgrade.

We went to this lounge at LAX located in the TBIT terminal although we had passed security from another terminal. There is a path from inside beyond security clearance. You may have to walk though.

We also went to this lounge at SF. Same thing. You can reach the lounge after passing through other terminals from inside.

But vegetarians and non- vegetarians can get good food while relaxing in a comfortable sitting space. Washrooms are good.

The front desk and employees are very helpful.

Should try to go if you get time before your flight. They will not accept you before 3 hours from the time of your flight.

The Centurion Lounge at SFO is hands down one of my favorite airport lounges. It’s located near Terminal 3, which makes it super convenient if you’re flying domestic, but it’s also not too far from the international terminal. The first thing I noticed when walking in was the sleek, modern design. It’s spacious but still has a cozy vibe, with plenty of seating areas depending on what you’re looking to do—whether that’s getting some work done, grabbing a meal, or just relaxing.

Speaking of meals, the food here is outstanding—way better than your typical lounge fare. The buffet offers a solid variety of dishes, with a nod to the Bay Area’s local flavors, which I thought was a really nice touch. Everything was fresh and thoughtfully prepared. And if you’re into cocktails, the bar doesn’t disappoint. The bartenders really know their stuff, and they’ll mix up some great craft cocktails based on your preferences. They’ve got a good selection of wines and beers too, so whatever you’re in the mood for, you’re covered.

The staff is top-notch—super friendly and attentive. The place stays clean, and they’re always making sure the food is stocked up, even when it gets busy. I also love how the lounge is set up for getting work done. The Wi-Fi is fast, there are charging stations everywhere, and if you need to make a call, they’ve got private phone booths, which are a lifesaver if you’re trying to get stuff done between flights.

One of my favorite perks is the shower suite. If you’re on a long-haul flight or have a layover, being able to take a quick shower is a game changer—it’s so refreshing.

Now, the lounge can get a bit crowded during peak times, so you might have to wait to get in, but honestly, once you’re in, it’s totally worth it. If you’re a frequent traveler, the Centurion Lounge at SFO is a must-visit. It’s a step above most lounges and makes your travel experience so much better.

Maybe the biggest amex lounge? Food could be better but service and ameneties were excellent.
