While wandering around the Japantown stores, I was craving a small treat, so stumbled upon Andersen Bakery. One of my favorite desserts are fruit tarts, and I love mango, so was excited to try the mango tart! I was unfortunately disappointed. The crust itself was pretty good, however, the mango did not taste very fresh. I would be curious to try the berry tart next time to see if it's any better, but they had many other choices for desserts as well which looked very good.

If you haven’t tried Japanese baked goods, you must try it it less sweet as traditional American goods, it’s lighter and more subtle in sweetness.Specially try their milk breads!!

Delicious Baked Goods! I loved everything I got especially the Beef Curry Bun, flaky and savory. Huge cheese danishes too. The staff was very friendly! I’ll be back

The baked goods at this Andersen Bakery looked really good on display, tempting me to order a tamago sando to dine in quickly before an appointment. The lady who assisted me was extremely rude, getting impatient as I search for my wallet. I sat by the corner (there is very limited seating) to scarf my sandwich down while hanging out with a few flies. The sandwich was also borderline sour, but I devoured it without any resulting stomach pains. I'd advise ordering the pastries if you're gonna pay this place a visit, but I probably won't again.

We dropped by Andersen Bakery this morning tempted e by egg-salad sando in the displayszszw case because I've heard about tales of Japanese-style egg-salad sandos. The other people in our party opted for desserts: a slice of strawberry cream cake and a couple of tiramisus. The egg-salad sando was unexceptional; I could've made it better. The tiramisu was creamy and good ; the strawberry cream cake was pretty tasty as well. The service was nice enough and the restaurant quaint but a little too tight to be comfortable; we had a pleasant meal.

Great bakery!! We were here at Japantown mall and needed coffee and pastry. Stopped and determined this was going to be the place :) Our server was nice and patient with us. We ordered for here and she brought our order to our table. The bakery is clean with a few tables inside and tables outside the door. Ordered the curry pan (tastily filled with what appeared to be Japanese curry) the jalepino cheddar polish roll, and a spinach/mushroom empanada. The coffee was piping hot and great (Pete's organic). Curry pan was well filled and flavorful. The polish roll....nicely made and it's all about the bread!! The empanada was stuffed with spinach and large mushroom pieces. Definitely the place to go in Japantown west mall!!

Went there on Thursday afternoon and it was not busy. I really enjoyed sitting at the cafe eating the pastry. The owner was very nice and friendly. I don’t mind to go back again.

Food is mostly good, some items might have been out too long. Espresso drinks are good. Staff seems stressed out, a bit short some times. Seating is crowded, sometimes there are no tables at all.

The Beyond Curry Pastry was really good! Definitely ask them to warm it up, as it makes it crispy and light. We also got the milk bread and the strawberry matcha. I also recommend asking for light ice for the matcha. The milk bread was a little stale as we had bought it later in the day. It was still fluffy, however the edges were hard. Nonetheless it was great for sandwiches.

Nice bakery in the Japan town mall, they have a great variety of excellent pastries. The atmosphere isn't fantastic but don't hesitate to stop by for the food. Anderson is actually a Japanese chain with a long history so it shouldn't surprise anyone why it's here.

Cute bakery with a variety of pastries - big sizes too. We order a hot matcha latte and unfortunately it tasted very powdery for the matcha as if it was not properly mixed before serving. Line was long as it was in the center of the mall, servers were wanting to get your orders as quickly as possible. Not many clean tables to sit at this stop.

The 2023 pumpkin pie is a total disappointment. It is SO AMERICAN SWEET. I paid more for the pie from Andersen because they used to be mild "European" sweet.. This year it is a piece of trash just like ANY AMERICAN pie. So why waste more money for a piece of trash which ends up in the trash right after the 1st bit. The Andersen Pullman bread, English bread & the pastries are still top rates. I cannot comment on their cakes because I haven't try any since Andersen have changed hands.
