Nice little stop on the way to Ocean Beach. They also have a small parklet area and an outdoor area behind the coffee shop if you want to chill. Their original snowy plover is still one of my favorite drinks.

It’s such a treat to come here. I feel like the drinks are delectable and creative, not to mention the clever Snowy Plover that they invented. The baked goods are not as good as the drinks but they do offer a good selection and I like the soda farl with cheese, as simple as it is. I like the little patio in the back that the place is small but efficient and clean. Really ups the beach experience.

These people are soooo rude. I got there exactly at 3. I was already in the store and the two young servers kicked me out saying they close at 3. My grandkids and I had walked there. Unbelievable. Rude and entitled.

good espresso!espresso + soda water is always my go to (separately)
Fantastic coffee shop at Ocean Beach. Known for their house special, the Snowy Plover was named after a local bird that can be found at Ocean Beach. Made from a shot of espresso, a dash of seltzer, and a dollop of some of the best cream to grace a coffee drink, the Classic Bird is a great accompaniment to any trip to Ocean Beach. They also serve some fantastic soda bread, breakfast sandwiches, and they have a terrific chocolate chip cookie. Andytown roasted coffee can be found served around San Francisco and is worth taking some home. They have a pleasant patio out back, or take your drink across the street and search for hidden gems in the bargain vinyl bins at Tunnel Records

Edit: I’d like to add that I was sitting on Andytown’s back patio earlier this week when a group was LOUDLY making islamophobic comments and laughing about bringing a gun to a pro-Israel rally to “defend” themselves. Why did they feel emboldened to have that conversation publicly in YOUR CAFE? Michael and Lauren, if you actually cared about inclusion, you would ACTIVELY root out ALL racism from your space, including within your clientele. Y’all are a disappointment to the community.- - -Found out that Andytown owners were removing posters calling for a ceasefire in Palestine today. I can’t in good conscience spend my money at any establishment that is apathetic or supportive of genocide. Really disappointing — I won’t be back.

I visited this location around lunch time on a weekday. It was a quiet, rare sunny day at Ocean Beach. Street parking was fortunately easy (we found a spot right across the street), but I can imagine it being much more difficult on a weekend. The store front is quite narrow so it does appear small with no seating, but there is actually a patio in the back. There was no wait and the service was very prompt. I had a plain black drip coffee and it was pleasantly tasty as expected from a coffee roaster. I typically do not get flavored coffee drinks, but I do recommend Andytown as a place to get good coffee! I'm not sure what beans were used for the drip that day but I have purchased the beans and have enjoyed the Windy & Sea blend. It has a light acid flavor but not too tart. I would definitely return just for cup of black coffee to go, but hopefully next time I can stay to do some work!

Small spot but quick friendly service and great tasting drinks. Came in on a Friday afternoon - a few regulars came in and I heard the staff say they'd make their "usual." You know the coffee is good when you've got loyal customers. Iced cappuccino with oat milk - good. $1.00 extra for oat milk sub. Pumpkin spice plover (seasonal) - delicious spin on their popular snow plover. Perfectly spicy and topped with their delicious cream. 10/10 recommend if you're visiting during the fall season.
