I live right around the corner from this shop and decided to finally give to a try with my buddy. I am a die-hard Starbucks fan and am objectively against mom-and-pop coffee shops but Another Cafe exceeded my expectations. The iced coffee was super bomb and not expensive and the pumpkin spice bread I got tasted like it was made with love. I like how it was a pretty quiet shop and peaceful. I may have found my favorite neighborhood shop.

One time in college, I went here to study. Perfect weekend study stop for college kids.
Edit: Ah, bi level. So Another Cafe and I were in synergy.

The people that own/work in this establishment are incredibly rude. Incredibly inhumane, cold, apathetic, heartless, and detached. Absolutely do not go to this place.

Waiting over 25 min for an egg and cheese croissant watching this girl chit chat with her coworkers. This isn’t the first time or I wouldn’t care nor mention it. not a good employee

Just so-so coffee, really grumbly service (you’ll know who I’m talking about when you meet him), and just so-so food. Just ordering a black coffee and staying upstairs makes it a fine place to go. 🤷♂️

Came here to meet up with my spiritual Director for the first time. I stood at the counter, waiting a little bit and nobody served me. I guess they were too busy doing the other duties. Later on when I needed to fill up my son’s baby bottle with water for his formula. I was able to get that easily. But yeah, I didn’t order anything because I stood there a little bit and then I just gave up. Other than that, the environment was cool and it was pretty cool that nobody stopped me from sitting inside, even though I didn’t order.

I almost wanted to gatekeep because I love coming here for work/study but I couldn’t do that to y’all. So here you go. This is an awesome little cafe with free wifi, outlets, super friendly service, and there is always tables/seating open. Don’t forget about the upstairs seating! I’ve come here multiple times already and will keep coming back :) there’s not extensive food options but I usually get a drink. The matcha is decent. I’d recommend the lemonade!
Allergen warning: pastries are made out-of-house and could have cross contamination with nuts/peanuts.

Laid back coffee shop with pastries, bagels and croissants, egg sandwiches. Nice stop near Lombard.

This place has all the potential to be great…but then the drinks are mid and the wait is intolerable. Especially in the morning, people have places to be. A chai latte and a bagel breakfast sando shouldn’t take 20 minutes. Hard pass for me.

I originally left a review sharing my negative experience with this café—poor service, rude staff, and questionable hygiene practices. Instead of reflecting on their behavior or addressing the issue like a normal business, they tracked down my employer and emailed my boss to try and silence me.
Yes, you read that correctly: a café that sells mediocre coffee thought the best response to criticism was to try to intimidate me through my workplace.
This isn’t just bad customer service—it’s unethical. A business that can’t handle feedback and resorts to personal retaliation shouldn’t be supported by the community.
Be warned: if you have a bad experience here and say so publicly, they may come after you too. There are plenty of cafés with better coffee, better food, and infinitely better integrity.
