It’s a nice bakery in the San Francisco downtown. Spacious with a variety of breads and pattiseries. They have a nice cafe type menu too. You can try out the pasta or the sandwich or the salad etc

I rarely find bakeries matching my southern european expectations in US. This has been actually one of those. Excellent bread, fairly priced, and tasty hot beverages. Service informal and friendly—extra points for being a worker owned coop!

The pizza here used to be really good. Now it's extremely bland and skimpy on toppings and the crust isnt the same as prior years. They also raised the price by 10$ for a whole pizza (not updated on their website). I wouldn't mind paying more if the quality didn't drop dramatically. After over a decade of eating here I dont think I'll be back. :/

Very easy grab and go bakery.
Great food. Usually a great place to go. Had a really awkward customer service experience lately. Ordered a slice, tipped, dude was kinda rude, didn’t really bother me. Forgot my order. After he gave two people after me slices I politely reminded him he skipped me. Didn’t talk, gave side eye. Really rude. Grown man acting like a teenager. Rest of the staff is normally 10/10.

Always fresh and good. Although I feel the East Bay ones are better, this bakery is still one of my favorite in SF

Gotta be honest, it was a bit disappointing of a visit for me. I got the vegan focaccia and it was alright, but nothing remarkable. I also asked if it could be warmed up and the cashier just told me no. I later learned it was bc they don’t have microwaves available (just the ovens all the things bake in), so the only hot items are the pizza of the day and possibly the soup, but the nature of the checkout interaction left me less than happy. As consolation there is a nice enough seating area in front of the shop, where I had some good conversation with friends and watched other city folk go about their afternoon.
