Best bakery in SF. There’s usually about 10-15 min wait - but well worth it. My favorite is the chocolate almond croissant - might be too sweet for some but I’d recommend not to eat all of it and save some for later. The chocolate chip cookie is really good too and they have a new monkey bread on the menu that’s delicious. Honestly have tried almost everything on the menu and I haven’t been disappointed

I remember when they used to let you dine in the tiny store, now it is only counter only. Workers work fast and it is always about a 30 minute wait. Easy-medium for residential parking nearby. I do like the ham and cheese crossiant. I usually also come for the clement st sunday farmer's market and palmetto superfood acai bowls nearby (walking distance). The coffee store next door's coffee is meh. I also love the shortbread cookies I have here as well. Offerings are limited. It is a traditional style crossaint. They only have 6 flavors. Both my sister and my mom like the fake crossiants at costco more since these crossiants are super crispy.

I’m from out of town and learned about this place from social media. The hype is real and the croissants are amazing, they’re the best I’ve ever had in the United States. Shoutout to their almond croissants.

Hey its Gerard

Might be just hype. No lounge, no space to chill. Mostly a to go thing. Checked it out because it is popular, always a line. Coffee and pastries like any other cafe

Best bet in San Francisco for authentic French pastries. My Parisian partner points out that their pastry sizes are American, not French. It’s also true that a few of the flavors are American (chocolate almond croissant, for example). My rich American palette doesn’t mind the extra size, and I can see that many appreciate the more inventive flavors too (personally, I stick to the classics). The execution really is flawless.

It’s worth the trip from the East Bay. This is heads and shoulders above Acme, and it also easily edges out Rotha (who tends to over-bake).

And a big thank you to the folks who work here. This is such a busy business, and you make it look easy. You all operate with stunning efficiency, all while keeping a superbly friendly vibe. Hats off

I stayed in San Francisco briefly for an internship and don’t live there anymore, but so far in my life this is the 2nd best bakery I have ever been to (beaten only by a wonderful bakery called Kora in New York), and I still think of this place sometimes. I LOVE pastries and I have to say hands down Arsicault has the best chocolate croissant I have EVER had. Super flaky, big, melts in your mouth, no stinginess with the chocolate, just perfect sweetness level, so good! The Kouign Amann was also nice but I think you have to try the chocolate croissants from here if you’re ever in SF. I arrived around 9:20am on a Sunday in July and the line moved really fast so we were at the front by 9:40am. I think the only downside is they have no coffee so I went to a nearby coffee shop. But oh my god … the chocolate croissant … I’ve been abroad searching for something just as good in so called foodie havens like Copenhagen, but I’ve been spoiled by this place. Nothing comes close!

This place serves the best chocolate and chocolate almond croissants that Ive tasted in my life. For the price, it’s really worth getting the pastries here. They are generous with the fillings. The chocolate just melted nicely with every bite. I will miss this bakery and I will think about the croissants every now and then. This place is definitely a must visit.

Best croissants and baked goods I’ve ever had. I’d say a must-try spot in the Bay Area.

Have tried the almond croissant, kouign amann, and ham and cheese croissant - don’t really think you can go wrong.

Seriously so so good. Highly recommended!

Well it’s not about the atmosphere so don’t go for that! It’s kind-of a hole-in-the-wall. There will most likely be a line, but for a reason! Check out the menu on the chalk board in the window. Highly recommend the almond croissants, chocolate chip cookies, or kouing aman.

I never knew what a Kouign Amann was, and now I can’t believe I’ve lived this long without discovering this bakery! Maybe it’s because I live in the Seattle area, but the trip here is absolutely worth the drive ;)

We have been looking for a good croissant bakery in the bay area for a while and this bakery is now our favorite.
They have a great selection of freshly baked pastries to satisfy most clients.
Their prices are also very affordable and also serve a tasty cup of coffee
We highly recommend this bakery.
Highly.<-

Probably our favorite croissant in california and possibly the world? We've been to Paris and tried a few highly recommended spots and did not think they were better than arsicault. Their kouign-amann was amazing as well. Chocolate chip cookie was so good as well. But we have had better cookies.

Not excited to wait 30 minutes in line but it was definitely worth the wait. I got a regular croissant and the ham & cheese croissant - out of this world!!! And then the savory scone was nothing short of amazing (had chives & bacon).

Finally made it to Arsicault Bakery in SF, and it totally lived up to the hype! 🥐 You can literally taste the quality in every bite. I tried the “almond croissant” and it was incredible! The line was a bit long, but so worth it.
