They make pretty good baklavas, I like to eat them cold so they taste less sweet. The store owner asked us to eat the baklavas upside down so the syrup doesn’t get in contact directly with your teeth- interesting facts. Baklavas are freshly made daily, highly recommend!

I’ve eaten baklava in Gaziantep, Turkey, where the pistachios are grown. It is miles better than anything I’ve found in the US, and I’d given up… until now. Their baklava is amazing and they are so kind.

We really want to buy one tray. But we are tourist. Everything thing is perfect. The boss is really nice and gives us food to try. Thank you!

I would take a 12 hour flight for this baklava. what an incredible experience and story. the owner is the kindest man. The baklava speaks to me on a spiritual level. My wife is also addicted. It’s a serious issue. We love his baklava. It’s so flaky. I’ve also been eating baklava wrong my whole life…you’re supposed to eat it upside down…he teaches you these things. He is a wise sensei in baklava theory. His employees are young Jedis mastering the art of the big B. go here, order the largest tray you can afford, eat baklava, be happy.

I discovered Baklavastory on TikTok and had to try it after seeing all the rave reviews. I came around 3:30pm, and while the place is small and unassuming, it was very busy. I had to place my order and come back later to pick it up — we agreed on 5:30pm.

One cool thing: they were offering samples while we waited, which was a nice touch.

When I returned close to 5:30, my order still wasn’t ready, and I ended up waiting about 20 more minutes. That said — the walnut and pistachio baklava I got were absolutely delicious: warm, flaky, sweet, and clearly freshly made. You can tell they care about the quality.

Just a heads-up: the wait time can be long, so plan ahead — especially if you’re coming from far away. If they offer pre-orders, that might save you some time.

The pistachio baklava here is even better quality than the baklava I've had in my hometown. They set the bar high. I wish the continued success of this beautiful business and its employees and congratulate them.

Best baklava I've ever had, on God.

Everything is so fresh. Ingredients are quality. Some of the most delicious and floral pistachios I've ever tasted. Also got to taste the walnut baklava which was equally as good.

Stunningly good. Not the Syrian/Lebanese style I normally adore but I'm so glad I tried it. The pistachios are out of this world good. And the guy there was so kind and spent ages explaining the details of their process even as they were closing. I can't wait to go back. They cost a pretty penny but for a special occasion, well worth it IMO.

It's actually hard to believe how good baklavastory is. I've enjoyed baklava all over Turkey and the middle east, but can honestly say that this might be some of the best baklava I've ever had. And it's in SF... Wow. Thank you!

This is the finest baklava I’ve ever tasted. Crafted with ingredients carefully sourced from the very heart of baklava’s origin, Turkey, its flavor and freshness surpass even the most prestigious establishments in the country.

Best baklava in America. The owner is very friendly. It was very interesting to see how they make everything and how passionate the owner is. It is a popular spot and sometimes there is a line. My favorite is pistachio baklava.
