I don’t always eat baklava when I eat; I make sure I get the best one. I have tried almost every baklava store in Northern California over the last 15 years. Hands down this is the best baklava store. I have to work out a lot but walnut baklava was amazing.

My friend brought me baklava from here when they visited San Francisco, and wow… even after traveling to Chicago it was amazing. Best baklava I’ve ever had—sweetness and syrup perfectly balanced. Can’t wait to stop by myself and try it fresh!

There was no sign and no parking space, so I parked at Best Buy and ran over. The neighborhood felt really scary. Anyway, they gave me a sample to try, and it was truly crispy on the outside and soft inside, but way too sweet. If they reduced the sweetness just a little, it would be really delicious.

I really do love the baklava here—it’s delicious and truly some of the best BUT I have to share a disappointing experience for anyone considering a catered order.
I placed and fully paid for a large order (200+ pieces, over $300) for my baby shower, 10 days in advance. On the morning of pickup, I was informed that their pistachio shipment had not arrived due to customs/tariff issues. While I understand these things can happen, what surprised me was the lack of preparedness. For a large catered order, it’s risky to depend on a key ingredient arriving at the last minute without a backup plan.
We even offered to supply them with locally available pistachios ourselves, but they declined. They did offer an alternative (walnut), but for us it wasn’t a suitable replacement, and at that late stage it was nearly impossible to find another vendor since most require at least 48 hours’ notice.
So while I do recommend the baklava for casual orders, I’d caution anyone placing a big event order to confirm details and have a backup plan in case of issues.

After trying BaklavaStory, my standard for baklava has definitely gone up. What impressed me most is the generous amount of pistachios and walnuts, perfectly balanced with the delicate, crispy layers of pastry. Every bite has that satisfying crunch and rich nutty flavor.
What’s even more amazing is how well it keeps— even after sitting at home for a week, it stays fresh and delicious, without losing its texture or taste. It’s clear that every ingredient is thoughtfully chosen and of the highest quality.
