So happy to have found an authentic che/Vietnamese dessert place in SF! The owner is so kind and friendly, and there are many fun drink choices with ability to choose the sweetness level. And the waffles are AMAZING!! If you love pandan waffles you have to come here, this is my favorite one I've ever had (and I've had a ton) :') Highly recommend the waffles and any of the che with pandan jelly, basil seeds, and/or coconut milk!

Bambu is a neighborhood gem. Small family running a super friendly business, treats customers with kindness and makes extremely tasty drinks. We love the halo halo and basil seed teas, but honestly everything we’ve had here is great. Weekly go-to for a fun treat.

The mangonada was DELICIOUS! It tasted so fresh!

The pandan jelly in the Taro Lover is life changing

I love this place, man. I always get the same thing because I’m boring, but it’s consistently delicious each time. The woman who I think is the owner is a gem - she is so sweet and hardworking, she remembers repeat customers… Last time I came in, I was really, really, really going through it and swung by to get my favorite che to try and feel something that didn’t make me wanna die. The owner noticed my mood and looked concerned. She didn’t say anything - which I am relieved she didn’t because I would have broken down ugly crying right then and there - but just the look on her face made me feel like I was worth something. Like someone cared. I hope this place stays open forever and ever or for however long she wants to keep this shop going. She has a customer for life.

After 3 days I continue to experience terrible symptoms from food poisoning after drinking the Taro Lover with coconut milk, purchased on September 1, 2024. In seeing past reviews, it is not the first time that this location has served expired ingredients/ expired coconut milk; and I’m sure I will not be the last to experience this. I do not recommend this place.

Bambu is the spot for Vietnamese desserts, no cap! They’ve got all the classics — from refreshing chè to pandan waffles and silky smooth bánh flan. Everything is *hella* fresh and hits that perfect balance of flavors, just like a homemade treat from the old country.

The vibe here is super chill, a perfect place to kick back with friends or just indulge your sweet tooth solo. The staff is friendly and always down to help you pick out the perfect dessert if you’re feeling indecisive.

If you’re in the mood for something sweet and unique, Bambu is a must-hit. Don’t sleep on it — this place is a gem!

Tried the summer delight drink. Really good. Interesting red tapioca which is crunchy like chestnut pieces.Panda waffle was very good. Crunchy on the outside, chewy inside.
