AMAZING!!! I had a private party for my birthday and it beat all expectations. Eddie (owner) really goes over and above to make it such a fun experience. The ambience was awesome, the food was awesome, and the decorations were awesome too. They went over and above. This was a night I will never forget. All of my friends want to have parties at bamboo too that’s how amazing it was. Highly highly highly recommend and it is very affordable per person and my friends and I will be back just to dine in as well. 10/10 recommend the food and having a private party. Thanks Eddie and the staff at bamboo you made my 28th birthday one I’ll never forget ?
The food was delicious! We were pleasantly surprised. We dined in and the restaurant itself is nothing super special and rather small. But it was cozy and delicious. Tea is included which was a nice bonus. Will be back.

Ashame to write this because this used to be my go-to spot, but the food was always inconsistent and now this tipped me over the edge. It's a freezing night in SF. I order delivery. The guy on the phone takes my cc info on the phone tells me total says goodbye. 5 min later someone named Edward NG calls me saying they only do cash and i'd have to pay cash and the total he told me was different than the first guy. He asked me twice if i wanted them to come still I said yes (a hungry beezy wanted her food so ignored the obvious red flag.) It didn't sound right that this guy now had my cc info ( I could see a pending charge in my chase app) so I jsut went on google and made a second reservation for delivery which did let me pay with cc didn't feel comfortable using cash after they had carte blance on my cc now.) I ordered dollar value the same as the first guy told me and showed him my reciept when the delivery man arrived. He showed me a piece of paper with my order on it and said "CASH" at the bottom (and under that all of my cc details written on the piece of paper brough with the delivery driver.) Well, Edward Ng certainly did not like this and yelled AT ME for not ordering the correct dollar amount, completely ignring the fact that they committed multiple types of business fraud by writing my cc info down and sending it out into the public WITH THE DELIVERY DRIVER. Needless to say I odered a new card, and will never order from this restaurant again, which i am bummed because before the new ownsership the (chinese only( food was ok. Ifeel bad for the delivery driver for being stuck in the middle and out a tip because of it- i assumed i would have to sign reciept and write in tip like any normal resturant in america. This was BEYOND BIZZARE guys. stay very far away and do not bring your cc info anywhere near this place.

The Worst Chinese food ever, the sweet and sour pork had to be at least two to three days old dried and tasted moldy, even the hot mustard sauce was spoiled old and hard as a piece of wood, beware of this restaurant. I am returning this substandard food back to this discussting restaurant and I am contacting the city to have them investigate this!

I didn't have high expectations walking in at 930 pm on a Monday night, for this small, hole-in-the-wall Chinese food place located on Polk Street in SF but the food and service were good. They give their loyal customers good value with relatively decent price points and quiet but attentive service for those dining in or takeout.This small place feels comfortably communal rather than crowded but you can hear other people's conversations, which oddly enough adds to the ambiance.Their open until 10:45pm or so every day so if you are ever in the vicinity, stop by for some honey walnut shrimp and rice.

The food is good but it's really annoying that they don't have a way to tell you that they are closed for private events. Have gone twice and had to find another place to eat.

Definitely did not like any of the sweet and sour chicken and sesame chicken. Way over salted for me. I couldn't eat the rest of it. Just the rangions, pork dumplings and the rice. I'm just visiting here from NY but I won't be back to this place. Will definitely try one more spot before I leave.

Won tons in my soup were gummy. The teriyaki rice plate was terrible. Chicken was not freshly stir fried. Sauce was overly corn starched and had no flavor. Side salad was warm and wilted. Rice was okay. Basically, Couldn’t eat it.

Food was bleh esp how it was cooked. Slap dash kinda meal. And for the price paid? Not worth it. I cook much better chinese meals. There didn't appear to be any difference with the sauces cooked with the lamb or tofu dishes. Combo Wor Wonton Soup ... tasted better ones on Larkin and Golden Gate Avenue.
