Just moved back to the Mission and I'm so happy to be living by this place again. I've been eating the Bahn Mi here for over 10 years and they still rank as one of the best in the city. Sure, the price has gone up in 10 years, but so has everything. It's still the best one I've found. Packed high with meat, perfect ratio of meat to veggies and they always seem to have some nice spicy jalapenos in there. Best bang for your buck and is usually good for 2 meals! On top of that, the owner is incredibly nice and she's been part of the Mission community forever.

This used to be one of my favorite sandwiches in the city. However, as we edge post pandemic they've raised the prices so dramatically that I doubt they'll see my smiling face very often if ever. I understand some costs have went up -- but not 30% ($2.50-3.00). That's what you call greed....
(Translated by Google) In this place you can no longer do anything when you go shopping. The owner does not appear to know that sufficient staff is needed to serve customers, accommodate merchandise, and collect. But they only have a single person in charge and a useless merchandise usher who does not know the potatoes or the shape. The cashier is very helpful but cannot attend to everyone. And as I said, useless and good for nothing that rather charges for doing nothing. The owner (s) should already have more staff. This is how it will be impossible for them to get ahead in this pandemic (Original) En este lugar ya no se puede hacer nada cuando vas a comprar .
Delicious Banh Mi, fresh, good pickles and flavors, tofu/bean curd/veg option is great. And it's absolutely massive
Wonderful selection of vegan mock meats including Layonna’s vegan drumsticks.
Great produce section and specialty items! I highly recommend
Excellent Viet sandwiches at a good price.
AHHHMAZING sandwiches made with all in house made ingredients including house made mayonnaise from scratch.
This is a pretty good and fresh banh mi! The pickled salad has the perfect flavoring and most importantly the bread is fresh and yummy. I got the pork BBQ and for $6, can you really go wrong. Make your way to the back of the grocery store and wait on line. There is always a line. But it moves fast.

(Warning: young adults from Central Florida in for vacation) Mission Banh Mi is INSIDE A SUPERMARKET with a few tables near the deli for eating. Although prices were higher than I'm used to, THESE BANH MI WERE STUFFED! AND SO FLAVORFUL TOO! With almost 10 choices (including a few vegetarian versions), I took the typical ‘cold cut' version. The CUCUMBER, CARROTS, AND JALAPENOS WERE CRISP AND FRESH while this sweet, soy-like sauce tied all the flavors together. Meanwhile, the Grilled Pork banh mi was the winner with the pork being so soft and bursting with its own meaty flavor.
(Warning: young adults from Central Florida in for vacation) We didn’t see any ‘Mission Banh Mi’ signs, but it could also be because that whole corner had scoffolding and mild construction going on. Here’s your hint: enter the Duc Loi supermarket in the corner and head to the deli on the far left. Look at the menu, then head back to the cash registers to pay and say your order, then bring the receipt back to the deli and they’ll make it for you. Whew! MOST STUFFED BANH MI EVER The prices per banh mi were a bit higher than what I’m used to in Florida ($6 here vs ~$4 in Florida) but these banh mi were stuffed! And so flavorful too! With almost 10 choices (including a few vegetarian versions), I took the typical ‘cold cut’ version. The cucumber, carrots, and jalapenos were crisp and fresh while this sweet, soy-like sauce tied all the flavors together. Meanwhile, the Grilled Pork banh mi was the winner. It contained the same, fresh veggies, but the pork was so soft and bursting with its own meaty flavor. EATING INSIDE THE STORE There’s a few small tables near the deli to eat although the view out the windows isn’t that great since this is still the ‘sketch’ side of Mission. Since you’re in a pretty diverse supermarket, it’s easy to also find a drink to your liking among the diverse lineup in the fridge section and pair that with your sandwich.
