I drive 50 minutes across the Bay Bridge from Benicia to eat here. That should tell you something about this place. I’m mostly plant-based and this is the one place I make exceptions—for the truffle buns and for the shrimp toast! I absolutely love this gem of a dim sum dumpling place but not for those items (surprisingly!). I come here for the pea shoots, green beans, and the eggplant dish. But like I mentioned earlier, my fake-a-tarian self makes exceptions for the shrimp...
This charming small restaurant on Valencia St in San Francisco CA is a delight!
The website has beautiful pictures with descriptions of, of the menu items, allowing you to plan your order ahead of time. Pleasant and quick service, chef’s making the Bao in the front window ( Inlive watching craftspeople work!), and a unobtrusive screen in the dining area to allow you to view what you want to order. Delicious and unusual food but please save room for the goofy and fun...
We ordered mostly steam dumplings and a pan-fried chicken pot sticker. They were all very delicious. The decoration in the restaurant was beautiful. I particularly like the lanterns which came in various shapes and sizes.
