went for a walk in the neighborhood and stumbled across Bar 821 with my fiancé and our little walk turned into such a lovely date night! Bar 821 is a great spot for craft cocktails! They greeted us with complimentary limoncello tastings and their menu has a nice assortment of classic cocktails, flights, as well as a "Choose Your Journey" option! We both decided to go with that option because it seemed fun, and you decide the style/flavor/spirit for your cocktail and the bartenders will create a custom drink for you! Also they make their syrups in house which was neat to learn about. Our bartender Eduardo was more than accommodating and we had a nice conversation with him. Also the drinks he made were delicious! Will definitely be going back and recommending to my friends when they are in the neighborhood:D

Hidden gem on Divisadero! Love the speakeasy vibe where you have to ring the doorbell to be seated. Great cocktails and amazing service from all the staffs! Perfect place to impress your date or family from out of town. Probably not ideal for a big group (more than 6). They do not have food fyi but amazing restaurants around.

Such a cute spot. Super creative craft cocktails and excellent service. They even have a “build your own cocktail” option with unique options to choose from. Since its reopening, this has become a regular spot for our friend group.

This is the Amaro bar to end all Amaro bars – like, a next-level selection. But, don't stop at amaro. They have a world-class cocktail offering, with a menu designed to help you find the perfect drink for your evening. The unique menu concept and the warm and intimate environment make Bar 821 a must-visit on your SF cocktail tour.

A reopening to add to the top of your list. The menu was a unique format, with a large portion entirely customizable and non alcoholic friendly. I had two different NA cocktails and loved the complexity and flavors of both. The bartenders were very friendly and knowledgeable. The space is welcoming and warm. Absolutely will be back.

Hottest bar to hit San Francisco in years! Ring a door bell, be escorted in if they have a spot and be lost in the world of Amaro but also out of this world cocktails made by top notch professionals! Their menu is pick your journey (sort of dealers choice) where you pick style, flavor profile and base spirit and these guys will wow you! They were busy when I went so I suspect make it in at 6 or right after to get a seat!

Bar Amaro/Revamped 821 has excellent craft cocktails, cozy chill vibe, and amazingly talented and attentive bartenders.Had an amazing time at the re-opening of Bar 821. For me, it was drinks only so no food review. But imo, Bar 821 is the best new bar in San Francisco right now.Carefully curated craft cocktails made by master mixologists with unique flavors. I started with the discovery menu and tasted some amaro/bitter cocktails for the first time. But I also tried their special take on classic cocktails. All were great.Atmosphere is great. Small, discrete bar with a chill & cozy vibe that feels more like a neighborhood spot. Perfect for a pre or post dinner cocktails, casual night with friends, or a date.Service is 10/10. The bartenders are super friendly, attentive, and really know their stuff. With the discovery menu try to understand what you like and they come up with something that matches with some inventiveness. There's only 2 bartenders so be patient since craft/personalized cocktails take time.Overall, highly recommend!

Hard to express how special this bar is. Let the bartenders guide you and you're gonna have an amazing time! I had their Italian flight and tried so many new drinks I've never had before.

Best place to get pasta in downtown CA. You can also take in your own bottle of wine for a corkage fee. The location is rather small so make sure you get there early. There is indoor and outdoor seating. I like the outdoor seating they have a few lights out there so it makes for nice ambiance. We had the lasagna which is to die for. I would recommend this place, just make sure you get there right when it opens so you're not waiting long.

Bar 821 is quickly becoming my go-to bar in SF. Get there early enough to grab one of the comfy seats by the window or take a seat at the bar and mingle with any of the knowledgeable bartenders - especially if fernet or amaro are your thing. Also, happy hours ends at 7:30, which I love!

The drinks are sooooo good in here and not very expensive, bartenders are doing very good job also. I love the vibe even tho it gets too loud at times, but it's a bar what else would I expect
