I know the costs of food has skyrocketed and restaurants have to raise their prices accordingly (and we don't mind that because it is what it is) but come on we ordered a full size veggie basket with our burger (it is the only place within walking that does actual flame broiled burgers) and for the price they now charge the order was less than half of the size of their normal "half-order" and they used white button mushrooms instead of portobello- and there was no flavor (we feel cheated- more money for less than what we used to get)

We go there maybe 3 or 4 times a year for great food (their hamburgers are masterful) and cozy atmosphere - finally wanted to give a nice review (overdue) - beside great food and cozy atmosphere the service is usually excellent as well - this time want to commend Zulma, the server, and Erica, the hostess, for being very friendly and efficient - we all had a wonderful time and will be back again in the near future /

Barney's is a cute Noe Valley gem. The outdoor patio is cute for a sunny day in the city. It's also dog friendly. I really wanted to love their burgers but was sadly underwhelmed. Not horrible, but also not great. The patty was lacking flavor and the bread just didn't cut it for me. The curly fries and homemade ranch dressing are very yummy! Service is prompt and attentive. Milkshakes looked good but didn't try them. What we ordered: Barney's Burger w/cheese 6/10 Western Burger 7/10 (lots of bacon! a bit messy to eat) Curly fries 8/10 Arnold Palmer 8/10

All I have to say is yum! Parking sucks but it's worth it. The Turkish milkshake is also very yummy.

The burgers they have here are huge and gourmet. I ordered the Voodoo Burger. It was flavorful and cooked well but it wasn't spicy at all like how the menu described. I wish they put more spicy voodoo sauce as I didn't taste or see any. For the table we shared curly fries which was pretty standard, and then the veggie basket, and onion rings had a weird hard coating that I didn't enjoy. I got an Oreo milkshake to go. The drink was thick and satisfied my desert craving. The waitresses were super nice and I could tell how hard they were working. There's indoor and outdoor seating and wherever you sat it was pretty cold the night I went.

I like their food and they do it well - it's a burger and fries joint, not a Michelin star restaurant. But it's so incredibly crowded and they seem to prioritize the pickup orders over in-house diners, which is disappointing. The waited time for food while dining in is apallingly long. I guess I would say, Don't come hungry. Bring something to read. Or go somewhere else.

I have been eating at Barney's for a long time and really enjoy their food. Craving a burger and unable to get out, I decided to order delivery. What a huge mistake. When we got the food, it was ice cold and had to be reheated. The food was poorly packaged for delivery. In addition, the usually delicious steak fries were awful. They looked and tasted like they were fried 3 hours ago. As usual, the burgers were great, but would have been better if they arrived warm. Overall, this was a horrible experience. I paid a lot of money for a cold meal.

I had so much hope but was met with disappointment. The Good: the milkshake comes with the metal tin. This is something I always appreciate when getting a milkshake. The sweet potato fries were outstanding. And they had great sauces. The atmosphere was pleasant. The Disappointment: My wife had the veggie basket and it was just very plain and uninspired. I had the Baja Burger and my wife had the Maui Waui.My wife did not enjoy her hamburger at all in said an in-and-out burger would have been much better. As for my burger, it was not that great. The meat was very boring. My wife added the menu looked great but then when I actually got it my burger literally just pineapple and meat with nothing else to it.

Burgers just so so. A lot of options to make your burger different though. Generous portions of fries. Single size is plenty. Very friendly wait staff.

I stumbled upon Barney's Gourmet Hamburgers late on a Sunday night and was pleasantly surprised by the charming patio ambiance. The server provided swift service as we indulged in 3 delicious burgers and a trio of sides. The onion rings, curly fries, and sweet potato fries were delightful, each accompanied by sauces that perfectly complemented their flavors. The Voodu Burger stole the show with its fantastic spice in the Voodu sauce and rich mushroom flavor, making it an absolute winner. The generous portion sizes of the burgers immediately explained why it made sense to sell fries separately. My only complaint: The waitress mentioned they had a philosophy of letting customers control condiments is, but a moister baguette or a touch of butter on the French burger could have elevated the experience. Despite this, Barney's overall left a lasting impression with its delectable offerings and cozy patio setting.

The menu is a bit overwhelming. There is a covered outdoor space to bring your dog if you need. There's so many options for burgers, very intimidating. The Animal burger I got wasn't that great. Was a bit soggy because of all the toppings, but the curly fries and shake were delicious! Since this place is meant to be known for their burgers, it gets low marks. Not sure if I would come back for a burger but def would get the shake and curly fries again!
