This location is not the restaurant in the pictures of the review…it’s now in a massive a ‘cloud kitchen’ in an industrial part of San Francisco (the same address as shown in this listing). I arrived to pick up my food and was surprised that it was a massive cloud kitchen (I was expecting the restaurant in the pictures of other reviews). There were delivery drivers scurrying in and out.No problem - I was expecting good food, but what I got was terrible. I ordered the spicy Bucatini pasta and it came out mild and stale like it had been sitting in a large tray for hours. Maybe the cloud kitchen uses its own staff to try to cook the recipes from this restaurant, I don’t know… I was extremely disappointed and paid $30 for pasta that I wouldn’t have paid $5 for at a smorgasbord buffet.Very very disappointed.
Absolutely horrible decline in quality. I never write reviews, especially one star ones. But this is just sad and disappointing. Barzotto used to be one of my favorite restaurants too, specifically the spaghetti. The pasta noodles they use are noticeably different and taste noticeably bad. Mediocre sauce and very small portion of it. And the meatballs were the worst part of the dish. If you used to be a fan of the old Barzotto, you won’t get whatever you used to like, as I’m guessing there has been a change in management. I recommend you go to somewhere like Bottega instead. I should have made my on spaghetti at home.
BarZotto has a nice vibe to it. Feels like your local restaurant that you can come to for no reason just to hang out. The ambiance impression I got about it from envibe definitely lived up to expectations. However, unfortunately the food was not as good as I hoped but not bad!
Good atmosphere and really quick service. Hostess may have been having a bad day, but was pretty rude/unwelcoming. Vodka sauce was good but needed some fixings, wine was great. All other staff/our server was really kind, attentive, and friendly
Italian restaurant in the middle of Valencia, menu is quite short, but have really good options. Felt the pasta (spaghetti) and meatballs were a little bit more spicy than it should be. Their bread is amazing, highly recommend. Their patio outside is perfect for sunny days.
This is a fast-fine place; the Souvla of Italian cuisine as my dining companion aptly said upon entry. Fast-fine means you order and pay before you get seated, and a sort of waiter (a glorified food runner) then brings your food out, but with real plates and real cutlery (in theory that's fast fine dining). The food was a'ight, a bit of a mixed bag: the arugula salad was aided well by the delicious parmesan crisps, my spaghetti with meatballs was a bit disappointing (just lacking in any distinctive flavor), but my friend's radiotore with pecorino and pancetta was pretty heavenly and had diner's remorse.Service was null since you're basically rating the ordering and paying experience. Anyway, worth trying but not tragic if you miss it.
The Experience: The pastas here are delicious, and their wines are enjoyable. The two pizzas we tried were average, nothing special considering the price.Need to know: The affogato dessert they have is a nice way to end the meal.Notable: We were double charged for one item, but the issue was corrected right away when we pointed it out. Probably an honest mistake.
I work in the neighborhood and have wanted to try this restaurant for a long time. Finally went this week and it exceeded expectations! I had the Campanelle. It was perfectly seasoned and delicious, a nice touch of spicy with the habanero and sweet with the corn. It's so nice to have several vegetarian options, and I enjoyed the flavor and creativity of the Campanelle. Also had the bread which had a great crust and crumb, and the warm olives. They recommended and amazing sparkling wine, which paired perfectly with the food. Great lighting, ambience, service, all and all it was a really special and satisfying experience.
Dinner was delicious and filling. Staff was lovely and accommodating. We split a pasta, Roman style pizza and cup of soft serve, with a glass of wine each. The healthy SF fee has been moved to the subtotal, so now that is taxed. Just an FYI.
This restaurant has a hip vibe, outdoor dining, interesting wine list, great service and literally the best hand made pasta I have ever had. We ordered the Jersey Milk mozzarella pizza as an appetizer. It was simply outrageous - the dough was made fresh that day and they serve it with big scissors. The Strozzapreti pasta was served in a sorrel pistachio pesto sauce that still has my mouth watering. They should bottle that stuff! I will dream about it until they do. The Porchetta was frankly to die for. Felt like I found a little rare Italian gem in the heart of the Mission District. Going to be a destination dining spot when I visit San Francisco.

This restaurant is incredible. You cannot miss out on the Smoked Berkshire pork chop, it was the best chop I’ve ever had and I never order pork chop. So tender, so juicy. The pasta is cooked to perfection.
Pretty cool spot in mission to have some Italian… Have to try their meatballs????…..The roasted chicken needed some seasoning but was well very cooked.
Can’t say enough good things about this spot! They took such great care of us, very friendly staff, clean facility, and most importantly everything we ordered exceeded expectations in taste and quality. One of those meals that makes you want to keep eating no matter how full you are!
Holy toledo was this place GREAT! Amazing pastas and pizzas - the textures were absolutely perfect - and some of the best meatballs I've ever had. I will be back soon enough - there are too many other things I want to try! This place is fantastic for a weeknight dinner with friends or a cute date - can't wait to return!
Italian food in the Mission done right.I’ve tried the spaghetti and meatballs, the strozapretti pesto, and the bucatini all’amatriciana and they were all fantastic pastas made by someone who understands cooking. The desserts are great. The beer selection could include a lager, but at the same time the single position makes it simple.Love the ambience — with the solid food it’s a full package for an evening with Italian food.
