Loved the food and the service here!
If you are vegetarian, I would highly recommend the bell pepper stew, it’s great.
This is a cute small restaurant. It seems to mostly be a pickup spot, but my friend and I were open to trying a different cuisine and decided to dine in. We did not regret the decision!
The food was absolutely delicious. I loved the BOB chunky, their signature dish with coconut rice. I haven't had butterfly pea tea in a while and enjoyed it. Keep in mind that this place doesn't serve alcohol. The customer service was good as well.
An area for improvement is having regular tables (without holes in them). The blue tea spilled into one of the holes and on my white pants.
Nice vibe, delicious food, and generous portion!
The bread from Palata and Dip is so delicious!! Can also recommend the Tofu Shwe Taung Noodles, very tasty. Both if you like coconut milk probably. The space was maybe too small but overall a nice vibe, service was very good also. I split a main and an appetizer for 2 people and it was enough.
What a little gem in this neighborhood!!
We come here regularly -- the staff is always friendly, and the food is always amazing!!! While there are a number of great and larger Burmese restaurants in SF, Bay of Burma has some very refreshing and unique dishes that aren't seen in the other places, especially the Shwe Taung Noodles and Ginger's Spirit Salad (and of course the must have Tea Leaf Salad, but that is common to most Burmese restaurants in the city. As we understand these are more regional flavors and we absolutely love them! We love this place!!
Delicious food and very nice staff
We reserved a table for 8 and when we got there we realized that the restaurant was smaller than expected and the table set up wasn't ideal BUT the food and service were so good that I would definitely go back!! Even with a party of 8 and even with the not ideal table set up!
If you get the chance to try this place I highly recommend it. We ordered the chicken samosas, BOB chucky and the Shwe Taung Noodles.... all of which i would order again and we're delicious!
The guy that runs it was an absolute gem. Every interaction i had with him (from booking the table, to calling him to say I would be late, to my dining experience) was a pleasant one. He was friendly and determined to make our experience a positive one.
I'm one very happy customer and will definitely come back any time I go to the Orpheum. 😊
Great food! Really really good!
The host was excellent and absolutely lovely, we were a group of 8 and I was very impressed with how he handled a group with children.

The food and service were amazing! We want to especially thank the server that served us today. He went above and beyond to answer our questions and share more about the Burmese food culture and the right pronunciation of the dishes. We tried the tea leaf salad, white peas palata, and the Shwe Taung noodles with tofu, and the flavors were so different and so delicious! This was my first time trying Burmese food and it will not be my last.
Vegetarian options: The vegetarian dishes were clearly labeled and absolutely delicious!

I live nearby and have walked past this place multiple times, and can’t believe I haven’t been here earlier! I started with the Palata and Dip which is one of the best things I’ve even eaten. I like bread, not the hugest fan normally, but I don’t know what magic they put into theirs - it’s some sort of buttery flatbread with tons of flavor whether you put their amazing sauce on it or not. The menu says it’s a coconut curry sauce - I couldn’t figure out what it was other than delicious.
I followed with the Dorfy Chicken - also absolutely fantastic.

All I could find around here this early is coffee and I’m not a coffee person, so when I saw this place had lavender lemonade I had to stop here.
