Imagine you happened to be hungry, while casually driving your DeLorean close to 88 mph on the 280 south, about to reach Ocean Ave… and poof! You are sent straight to 1962… The rest is history.PS: their burger bun taste like a handmade bun from the old days, puffy and nicely chewy ?

Never disappoints. I always go for a simple good old fashion diner style burger here but i've tried the fish and chips and was impressed too. Always love coming here for some comfort food

Authentic with a real burger. There's a wait but it's worth it

The burgers are mediocre and the employees don’t see the tips- there are less basic places you can support. She (Mrs Hayward and her mother in law) was quite proud of the fact that she watches her workers every single moment from all the cameras in the back, and she also prides herself on the fact that she will only allow you a 15 minute break- don’t you dare ask for more.As far as the burgers themselves- again, there are less basic places you can support.

Classic old school burger with a nostalgic vibe we ate in our car as there is not that much seating but we did not mind the old-school vibe of just eating in the car

I'm not sure how they're able to keep removing reviews, but this mediocre burger place shouldn't be in business. While the food isn't too good, what you need to watch out for is how Ms Sloppy runs the establishment. Please please please be careful with how much you talk to the employees at the window- the back is covered in cameras and the owner will yell at the worker for talking too much, unless she's driving back to Hayward and watching the cameras from her car or home. If you see a worker on their lunch break, PLEASE don't talk to them, they only get 15 minutes. And finally PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't tip this place- Ms Sloppy keeps all the tips for herself.

now THIS...this is a burger and a half. some seriously overrated hipstered out smash burger joint in uptown Oakland disappointed me so much I had to go back to the basics and sought out what I needed: the much beloved Beep's on Ocean. when a puny patty from some uber gentrified shack just won't cut it [and never will], one need only to make the pilgrimage to Beep's to wipe that slate clean. grilled to perfection and layered with lettuce and a few tomato slices, the half pounder harkens back to a time when beefy patties ruled the land before this smash-nonsense propaganda blinded many. Beep's has a special way of developing a crust not unlike these trendy thin-posters yet manages to maintain a thickness and beefiness they can only wish they had. and no need to slather on a head scratching amount of mustard to bring out some flavor to a sorely lacking patty (see: Lovely's). even Beep's fries have more girth than some of these pretender patties. also finally tried the twinkie milkshake on my last visit and was surprised how luscious and nicely balanced its sweetness level was. outdoor seating or take it to go with limited parking. still on my top 5 fave burgers in the Bay and must try for any newbies out there.

Solid burgers! We got the quarter pounder with everything on it and I also got grilled onions. The is probably one of the best burgers I've had, and the meat is definitely high quality. Structurally sound too -- this burger was not messy and didn't fall apart. I also really liked the seasoned fries! There's no seating barring a bench and picnic table, this burger joint is in a parking lot. They call your name on a megaphone when your food is ready. Nice service -- the girl at the front let us take our time because we were a little indecisive. Would definitely come here again!

I have always loved to stop by for the random simple burger or corndog, for the past 35 years. It has changed hands, of course, but the food and nostalgia hasn't changed!

Delicious, but come prepared to get messy, the food drips. Great tasting hamburgers though!

Stopped on the way home to try the infamous Beep's Burgers! we ordered a 1/2lb burger, add cheese, pickles and onions! Side of their famous garlic fries, onion rings, and an Oreo milkshake. The service was normal and the speed was decent for the amount of people waiting around. I grabbed my order, brought it to the car and started sipping on the milkshake on the way home. I would add it to the top of my list for a milkshake, it was very rich and had a good Oreo flavor, no complaints. The disappointment came as we sat down to eat, only to realize our order was totally messed up. We got a cheese burger, no sauce, no pickles/ no onions, nothing. We didn't even get our onion rings. Wasn't worth the drive back to try and get the sides. The burger itself was good though, good beef flavor, and tasted well seasoned. Just a bit disappointing to be missing a side, and all the toppings.

I have come here for years and never had a problem. Tonight i order food for my friend and I, I had called and placed the order. I picked it up and we went home and when i opened up the burger box it was not a 1/4 burger it wasn't even a burger patty. it was as thin as a piece of paper and just like the burnt crusty part of "the patty". I obviously called to complain and all they could offer was to have me redrive over there with the burger to have it remade. I live 10/15 min away so that was an extra 20-30 min of my time. I returned the burger and asked to be compensated for my time since I had to come back to get the order i originally ordered. The manager refused since they were remaking it they felt that was sufficient enough for the mistake. i will include the photo of the "burger". thanks for wasting my time.

Beep's Burgers never disappoints! I like to get the 1/4 cheese burger with garlic fries and the beeps sauce and bbq sauce. SOOO GOOD! Last time my 4 year old got the fish and chips and it was good too. Sometimes they act chimmy with the sauce but other than that I love them! I always like to Support OG SF businesses!

03/05/2024 Tuesday afternoon Rating scale: 1/10 = Extremely dissatisfied. 5/10 = Average. 10/10 = Absolutely spot on; no negative critiques. Atmosphere: Moderate Ambiance: 5/10 (outside seating only). FOOD ORDERED: 1/2 Pound Beep's Burger (with added grilled onions and swiss cheese): The freshness of the tomatoes and lettuce were evident. They both provided a crisp contrast to the richness of the Angus beef. The beef itself was exceptional -- grilled to a perfect medium rare and paired with (added) melted Swiss cheese, creating a very harmonious flavor combination that acted as a very powerful 1-2 combo to wake up your taste buds. What struck me most about the Angus beef was its depth of flavor, achieved without overpowering seasoning. Altogether, combining the angus beef and the refreshing notes of the tomatoes and lettuce served a well-balanced, savory experience that let the natural flavors of the high-quality beef shine through. Garlic fries: Visiting this location multiple times, I noticed the consistency of the garlic fries were off. Some positive notes were that they use real crushed garlic cloves and very lightly dressed the fries with it. The real garlic definitely highlighted the fries. The downside is that (nowadays) the crispiness of the fries are way too soft. It appeared the garlic fries were not made to order, rather produced in a huge batch, which may explain why the fries were sometimes a tad soggy, and not crispy. Definitely ask them for more beep's sauce! But overall, the highlight is the Beep's burger itself. FINAL REMARKS: Would come back again. *I have visited this place multiple times, and results were pretty consistent (for the Beep's burger only).
