If you order takeout, plan for them to take 90 minutes to fill the order. Doesn't matter if the website says 35-45 minutes or if the order tracking site gives you a specific time when it should be ready. They're perpetually overbooked and understaffed.

Food is decent, but an unexpectedly very long wait time tends to nullify the quality of the food.

Restaurant itself is quite small and cramped.

Got there at 11:30 for lunch on a Monday and we were the only people there. It took us a while to realize that we needed to order at the counter. The chicken Landon plate was outstanding, with tender chicken on a bed of sauted onions and peppers, with hummus and pita. The portion was huge and I could only eat half of it. My friend had the falafel plate with large falafel balls that were also very good. The place did fill up over the next hour, but it was still quiet enough to hear each other talking. The whole menu looked enticing and I’m looking forward to coming back!

Amazing time here! The service was really fast and friendly, and the food was delicious! Our favorite highlights were the hummus and the beef kebabs! The beef was so well seasoned and tender, and the hummus was very flavorful! We got the Palestinian chicken dish, Musakhan, but felt a bit disappointed by the fact that it tasted very much like poached chicken however… The pita underneath was delicious alongside the pine nuts! The Shakshuka was delicious, but I wish they added cheese instead of having it as a paid add-on. The yolk was perfectly runny, although as someone who loves protein I wish they could have added one more. The servings were pretty decently large and we filled up fast!! The inside is very cozy and there’s also outdoor seating, which is located right next to the N line! Highly recommend & will come back :)

Biet Rima has a good reputation but we thought it was kinda meh. Mostly because the service stunk. They spent all their time dealing with DoorDash and ignoring those of us who were eating at the restaurant. Also, they left the front door wide open and had the ceiling fans on full blast (it was about 55 degrees outside). Tried telling them it was freezing but they didn't care. Might be a while before I go back.

Food is delicious, staff is friendly and the outdoor area is cute! Some of the best falafel and hummus I’ve had!

Beit Rima is easily one of my favorite spots in SF. The food is consistently amazing—the meze platter is super fresh and packed with flavor, and Samir’s bread is next-level good: warm, fluffy, and perfect for scooping. The chicken shishtawook is another standout—juicy, smoky, and perfectly seasoned.

We usually head to the Carl Street location—parking is way easier there, and it has a cozy, homely vibe. They’ve got both indoor and outdoor seating, which makes it great for any occasion. That said, the wait can get pretty long, especially on weekends, so try to come early or be ready to hang out a bit.

Bonus points for the Palestinian cola on the menu—such a fun, unique touch that adds to the charm. Definitely a place worth coming back to again and again.

The experience didn't quite match the glowing reviews. The Arabic food was decent but not remarkable—I've had better elsewhere. For instance, the babaganoush lacked the smoky flavor I was expecting, and the hummus didn't seem as fresh as it could have been.

Service was a challenge: the food took a long time to arrive, came out in parts, and part of the order was missing. We had to clarify this with the receipt, and the staff attributed it to a new cook. While the team seemed well-meaning, the service felt a bit disorganized and slow.

I appreciate what this place stands for and came here wanting to support it, but I hope to find a more polished experience elsewhere.

Fantastic dinner in a cozy restaurant.
We ordered the mezze sampler, batata harra, chicken shish tawook, and musakhan. It was a good amount of food for 3 adults.
Each dish was flavorful, fresh, and very delicious.

A little chaotic to get a table, but worth it if you like fresh and exceptionally well prepared middle eastern cuisine. You order at a counter, and food is delivered to the team. The website and staff (who pick up the phone) say you can add your name to the wait list online, but unfortunately that’s doesn’t work. Your reward, however, is fresh made bread and dips (lebneh, hummus, muhummara), the world’s most delicious delicata squash with a mild spicy flavoring, or maybe a well-grilled chicken kebab or filet of beef. It isn’t a gracious experience; it’s a little more high-volume, but the food is great and the staff are friendly, accommodating, and efficient. Highly recommended for a casual meal.
