Freddy, the chef was amazing. He had great tricks and was the best part of our large group’s dinner. The waiter on the other hand was rude and seemed to be in a bad mood, I wish I knew his name.

It was alright. All the food had the same seasonings so everything tasted the same. There are promo adds to join their club and receive a free appetizer. But that's not the case. Trying to ask questions to the 3 hosts and hostesses seemed as though I would interrupt their stories about the previous weekend. It was my son's bday dinner and another fellow at our tables bday which he said he was lying about, so it wasn't special. Even the Wagu was ehh..I was really excited. The food in Japan town mall was way better and so much cheaper

Our chef guy says he has been here for 5 years so I guess Benihana is fine with this kind of service? We are a mixed family: half Asian, half white. He would only talk to the white people. I thought maybe I was being paranoid but later others at our table confirmed that they felt this, too. This type of behavior is unusual to encounter in a place like San Francisco. We had a family reunion and were really looking forward to this experience for the kids. But he would only talk to the white kids. This experience was rough.

This was my 1st time ever at Benihana or trying a hibachi restaurant. We came here to celebrate my friends birthday party, there were 11 of us and the tables max out at 10 people but luckily they let us squeeze in together. The experience was all around amazing, the servers were so friendly, watching your food get cooked right infront of you is really interesting but the food was amazing! We spent around 2 hours here because there was 11 of us so the cook had a big order. The cook was a lil awkward and not so enthusiastic at 1st, but just seemed like he was having a bad day, after some small talk everyone warmed up and the entire table was laughing. Definitely recommend this place, especially because its attached to the Japantown mall, lots to do after you eat!

Came in for dinner with wifey. Food was excellent. Had the Benihana trio with hibachi chicken rice. Are server was very attentive and was the best service. The manager was very sweet and recommended we come in for Valentine’s Day. So I told her we definitely would…. Can’t wait.

The food was awful, I ordered the Boat salmon that was dry and doesn't taste like salmon.. Our reservation was 12:30, the cook arrived 1:45 without explanation on the delay. This is Benihana at Olldbayshore Burlongame.. Sad ...Will never go back to Benihana a gain. We all decided to go to a regular Japanese Restaurant..
Absolutely horrible, my best friend made a reservation over a month ago and then we had to wait a whole 50 minutes for the table. And then when we got a table it wasn’t even our own, we had to share a table with another group making it very very cramped. We tried asking for our own table when one freed up but they couldn’t even do that because they overbooked too much and there were tons of tables waiting as well. They ended up making my best friend cry and I totally do not recommend this area. There wasn’t even area to open the gifts that we got her. We didn’t even get water after sitting for a whole 5 minutes.
