Wow the service was exceptional. Proper restaurant and not pretentious. Very cute decor with the market in the back. Dishes weren't overly large. We shared everything and it was just lovely for date night.
Our family had a wonderful dinner last night at Bettola! I had requested the long table in back and it was set an ready for our group of ten which made it more intimate than the front room and easier to hear each other. We ordered many of the appetizers to share and the waiter was very helpful in figuring out quantities so everyone could try everything, and also in helping choose the wines. For the mains each person chose their own, many of the pastas and larger plates. Everything...
The food was excellent, and we were surprised that the restaurant is not more busy. We went on a Sunday during the farmer's market. We were a table of family members, all with an excellent knowledge of Italian food- cooking, eating and going to Italy. The tomato sauce was excellent-perfectly prepared in a more Northern Italian manner as it was light, lightly seasoned with salt/basil and allowed the tomatoes to do the work.
