Had to come try this place since I really haven’t seen such basil and olive oil flavored ice cream in the US apart from ildg all the way in NYC…
Olive oil was subtle and fragrant and made the base seem beautifully light but tbh I didn’t think it tasted that much like olive oil; basil brought the fragrance up another level and was more refreshing (producing even more lightness), slightly sweet for me but overall it was still quite acceptable. Since they were somewhat similar in style so I ended up pairing basil (which balanced the cream base with a more refreshing tone) with balsamic blueberry+strawberry (your average decent not-too-sweet berry sorbet).
Overall it’s definitely one of the better ice creams in the area but unfortunately still a tier lower than gelato shops back home in Shanghai ;-;;;

Great ice cream spot if you’re in the area! We enjoyed some unique flavors, but wouldn’t go out of our way to go here. So a solid choice! Just not an outstanding shop that would merit 5 stars in my opinion.

Talk about a quintessential experience. When you see the amazing park alongside this ice cream store, bi rite just stands out. Amazing flavors, unique setup, soft serve and a myriad of savory and sweet combos. Worth the 10-20 min wait at night for a chance to also enjoy the city scape views. Love this place

Bi-Rite serves what I think is, by damned far, the best Ice Cream I've ever had, and I've had it all over the world. Service was friendly and the place is clean. The day I visited they had a cap'n crunch flavor and a roasted banana flavor. I do not stop missing those two flavors.

I like this place! I got a banana split, with 3 scoops of... coconut, peanut butter, and smores? I dont remember the exact names. For a Friday afternoon they werent busy, but had customers coming in and out. They have a restroom! The staff was nice and offered samples. I would get the coconut one and the peanut butter again. I do wish they added more banana instead of the small half. Tbh I didnt know they would do anything extra to the banana (the roasted sugar), I wouldve prefered a regular whole banana, but it was good. It was nice to try something fancy. They added fudge, whip and some kind of nut on top. But I missed the classic cherry on top. The seating was awkward, not comfortable. Definitely the kind of seating that makes customers not want to sit for longer than a couple minutes, which is probably intentional. It was good icecream, I will be back if Im in the area craving icecream:)
Bi-Rite Creamery is a solid choice if you're in the area and looking for a dependable ice cream spot. There was nothing particularly wrong with the experience, but nothing that made it feel truly special either.

This spot is bangin! After a burrito on Mission we drove a short distance to top off lunch with some ice cream….and this place it the mark. we ordered salted caramel ice cream, and I got a second scoop of the coffee toffee. The buddy I was with had his banana flamed… like a crème brûlée. Excellent texture very clean place super friendly gal who helped us. And indeed, a great way to treat yourself after a burrito on Mission.
