I had such a wonderful time at Birba recently. I come here occasionally, but my last visit stuck out and I really want people to know how great and delicious this place is (and kinda not, because I like being able to quickly get seated in their gorgeous back garden). The sparkling wine from Jura was so good, and our server suggested some sherry to eat with our cheese plate that was such a good combo. I just love it here!

Such a cozy sweet tucked away spot in Hayes Valley. Casual setting but the servers were knowledgeable on their wines, the snacks on the menu are yummy, and a perfect central location in the city to continue your day/night anywhere from.

The worst wine I have ever had. Ordered $13la guita manzanilla PASADA and les granges paquenesses 2020 'les libellules'; they were both foul in taste and smell.

My wife found this place while we were wandering around Hayes Valley looking for a happy hour. Really fun, interesting menu with delicious vegetarian options. Selection of wine is outstanding and I loved the canned beer. The back patio is the place to be.

I got to sit in the parklet with my dog as a walk in. The patio in the back looks really cute, so I'll have to try again in the future. I like their simple menu. The tapas and salad we had were great. It's a good vibe. Hooks everywhere for your bags or coat. Decent service.

They didn't allow me to sit unless my friend didn't come. As my friend was quite late, I was just staying outside in the rain although the place wasn't busy at all. But they asked if I wanted to order a drink while waiting. Nah

Birba is my favorite wine bar in SF. Besides the wine collection, they also have a solid menu of appetizers and small bites that a lot of wine bars are missing. I also love the atmosphere at Birba with the back patio seating that feels like you're in Europe. It's cozy and a great place for a fun date.
New favorite wine bar! Love love love this place! We ordered everything from caviar on potato chips to marinated artichokes to the AMAZING buratta & prosciutto. Everything was fab including the champs and the service. So cute as well their patio in the back is absolutely ideal.
