This is the place if you want to hold an intimate event. We held my husband’s birthday party there for 25 people. Attendees raved about the warm, welcoming, cool vibe place. Package prices are extremely reasonable & the owners are more than willing to help make the event yours. Such a fabulous experience! And this neighborhood needs a place like the Birdcage - from hosting local artists’ work, to providing great coffee & service, and a selection of curated retail items. Help support the owners that are trying to make a difference in the neighborhood and enjoy your event in a really cool space.

Ube latte is amazing, plus they have a bunch of cool art, vinyl, and candles. Hidden gem in the tender knob. I’ll be back!

I had a hot horchata latte that was so good, I went back the next day to try it iced. The croissants were delicious too! I love this spot, definitely one of my go-to spots.

Easily a new neighborhood favorite of mine! The Birdcage is a bright café space that offers rotating art features, frequently restocked vinyl records, comics, events, and of course, great coffee, espresso, and even beans from local roasters for purchase. Plus they have wine and other libations. Located next to Habitat Hair Salon, it’s a wonderful place to wait for your appointment or relax while your sweetie gets their hair cut. With WiFi, comfortable seating, plugs, and large windows you can relax, work from home, enjoy the shop, and also have some wonderful pastries. It is also a great LGBTQIA+, transgender, gender-diverse supporting space. It’s just up the hill from the historic Tenderloin and close to Polk, the original gayborhood of SF!Keep an eye out for their events! Great opportunities for arts, crafts, reading materials, music, and thrifted clothing local business. Some notes:1 Oat milk ONLY2 Cute restroom. Single occupancy. Small but no steps/stairs required.3 The 2 Line stops in front4 Consistent baristasWheelchair accessibility: No stairs or steps for entry.

The cutest space that is so much more than just an art space or coffee shop. We need spaces like this in sf to cultivate creativity and community. The Birdcage is exactly what S.F. needs more of ?

The Birdcage is just the creative and cozy gem this neighborhood needs. As soon as you step inside, you are warmly welcomed by friendly staff, delicious aromas of coffee and high quality candles, exciting local art, records and more. It’s a unique experience and one that I have come to look forward to every morning for my coffee or tea. They regularly host art events, pop ups, and community gatherings which have introduced me to amazing local artists and friends. The Birdcage is queer, poc, women owned business that has brightened up Sutter with its unique vibe and offerings. I proudly support this business and you should too. <3

The Birdcage is such a refreshingly charming, and inviting cafe and art spot on Sutter and Jones. Since opening, it's been a hub for community gathering, with the beautifully curated art shows every month, and sells local goods, records, art, and delicious fresh coffee and snacks. Always greeted with smile when you walk in the door, this shop is truly a gem in our city and neighborhood.

Love Birdcage, cute new coffee spot in the neighborhood! I’re tired their sweet Oatmilk coffees - Latte (hot & iced) and Cold Brew. Customer service is friendly & welcoming! The space supports local LGBTQ+ people of culture artists and love to support their pop-up shops. Please support this new local business and creative owners!
