My favorite place. I come every year on my birthday. The waitress even remembered me. Good food, great view, fun area, what more can you want.

Service. Was great. Our waiter was attentive and provided great service. The salmon sandwich was ok and the clams were a bit too salty. The calamari and the Crab Louis salad was wonderful. We also had the Sourdough Beignet and the Fresh Berries with Creme Anglaise was very good.

We enjoyed our food and were happy to be seated with a view of the water. The food was delicious. I was sad that they couldn't take crab out of the mac and cheese (I'm vegetarian), but the pizza I ate was great! My niece had french onion soup which she said was delicious. All around a wonderful place and I would definitely come back.

Despite having a reservation, we waited the same 25min to be seated, as someone in front of us who didn't have one. They were out of Pizzas at 7pm, and the rest of the food was good, but nothing special. Service was great.

Typical San Francisco tourist trap. Food was lacking in flavor. One dish arrived cold, we sent it back and it took a long time to return. The only dish I would eat again was the cheesy garlic bread. The server was a nice lady that noticed I didn't eat my petrale sole and asked if I wanted to talk to the manager - I said no, I don't like to make a fuss. I do think they should've removed the cold dish from the bill. Not returning here.

La comida excelente , la atención de la Hostess en turno muy mala . El gerente en turno se disculpó por una situación que se nos presentó con la Hostess

This is always a favorite place for us in the city. It was especially crowded yesterday and even though we had reservations, we still waited almost 30 minutes. It was frustrating to see people just walk in and get served ahead of us. Our server was nice, and she checked on us right when we got our food and never again. We had to flag people down for water, butter, etc. Overall still a nice experience.

We had a reservation at 12:30pm and got to the restaurant at 12:15pm but wasn't sat until 1:06pm. What was annoying was that the host kept telling walk ins that the wait was 30 min when they were clearly backed up. Parking can be validated at the specific parking lot. Luckily there's a little museum section to kill time and to watch bread get made. There's a great view and the inside is larger than expected. The food makes you think okay, I see how their bread got so popular over the years. Overall food and ambience was great. Just come prepared to spend some time waiting and server just being okay even though they charge you separately for their service.

My experience of service in SF has been amazing but this disappointed. I had to ask for bread, one out meal came incorrect and was taken away, I was left with mine for 5 mins before the correct meal came. The same happened with dessert - mine came while my husband still had his dirty dinner plate, his dessert came 5 mins later. Overall food was tasty but like warm. Pudding was awesome . Lovely atmosphere but poor service and like warm food let it down.

Service kind of sucked but the food was good. Would recommend if you get a day with a good server

Great experience. Great food and service in the middle of a very touristy area. Wonderful cioppino very tasty crab Louis. Reasonably priced with good wine pricing.

Service was great from arrival till check out. Food was very good. Less noisy than the downstairs cafe. Beautiful view of the water. My cocktail raspberry lemon drop was amazing as well. Very satisfied with this restaurant.

Went there for the famous clam chowder on the bread bowl. Very underwhelming. The chowder was bland and flavorless. The sourdough bread bowl was stale and rubbery. Curiously, the sourdough bread brought to the table with butter while we waited for the chowders was much better, fresh and crispy on the outside. Apparently the “bowls” are prepared in advance and they do not age well. Overall, not a place that I would recommend, and not cheap as well.

Let me say the food was worth it - absolutely delicious I really didn't have the expectations going in and left speechless. I ordered the surf and turf and it blew my socks off. One of the best steaks I've ever eaten Would go to San Fran just to eat here again
