Over 40 minutes wait for two sandwiches doesn’t work. Not that busy.
I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I come here all the time with my family and it’s incredible. We normally take our food to go because it is not a large building but it’s (in my opinion) the best sandwich in SF. We normally get the very veggie, Danny Zuko, club, and BLTA. Every one in Dutch crunch and there always so incredible. The service is also great and fast, 4big sandwich’s in <10 min! I highly recommend and I hope this was useful😁

Sandwiches are awesome! The product is somewhat inconsistent though.
Sometimes they’ll forget to add or subtract things from your order and this time around one end of the Winnie Cooper sandwich bread I ordered was burnt
Always ordered pickup and never had an issue with waits (about a 20m walk after we place the order)

I am a delivery driver and I was waiting like more than 10 min and I asked the staff who is taking order but she was rude on me and said me if the order gonna be ready there will be order on loud voice
I had a really bad stomach ache, they wouldn't let me go to the bathroom, and I didn't like the waitress at all. I always came here for dinner. It didn't go well today.

Today I visited this beautiful place where the service is excellent and the sandwiches are very delicious. I will definitely return soon. I definitely recommend trying the Danny Zuko in Dutch Crunch, super crunchy, and the unmatched flavor.

i LOVE this place, i’m trying to get through each sandwich but so far every single one has been wonderful. my favorites are the cb4 and poultry geist. the only thing i wish they had was a bathroom, since i only know of one bathroom on haight but maybe i should just look harder lol
Mojo conquers all!
They have an astounding 57 different sandwiches that can be served on half a dozen types of bread, but mostly that doesn't matter. Your sandwiches ingredients and choice of bread only matter so far as nutritional value and texture, because of the mojo sauce is present that's all you'll taste. It is the big bully in the room, the king of the castle, the only thing you will taste.
Mojo sauce is a very strong garlic sauce with a mustard-like spicy undertone. It's on most of their sandwiches by default and it will kill your pallette for anything else.
Beware the mojo sauce...

Ordered a Winnie Copper: turkey, bacon, avocado and Jack cheese. This should’ve been a 5/5 sandwich. It was great. Problem was no bacon to be found. Certainly a problem when it’s the second ingredient listed. Otherwise great sandwich. Staff was great and it was ready in less than 10 minutes. Wanted to give a 5 here. Hopeful it was a one off. Will give them another try.

I used to go here often. Really liked the Joey Ramone veggie meatball sandwich as a concept. However, I got frustrated because requests to modify the sandwich are nearly entirely ignored, and because the meatballs are sometimes coldish in the center, which is off-putting. I don’t really care about that, though… it’s the bizarre inaction to my requests for pretty simple modification.
Regarding the modification requests, it may sound silly, but I really do like onions. I asked on 6 separate occasions to have onions on this sandwich, and each time there are maybe 4 thin slices of them on the sandwich. So I tried asking for extra starting the second time—no change. I tried asking for extra and then emphasizing it, saying “really, quite a lot of onions please.” And the number provided is always so few that the people I go with laugh at the sandwich after hearing my order and seeing the results. It feels like the onions are thin-sliced with a cheese grater and then added with a tweezer, one by one, counting them out on the other hand.
By the end, I tried nearly begging, emphasizing how much I love onions. How I really REALLY wanted extra onions. How much I love onions, please, put “way more onions on it than you think is normal or usual or good.”
I got one extra thin strand, maybe?
What is crazy is that this is the same at both locations. I’ve tried asking for extra sauce but gave up after the second time when I noticed the request wasn’t even written down.
I don’t know if there’s a policy of being stingy with toppings, or a communication issue between the sales terminal and the staff prepping the sandwiches, but I’ve never had an issue like this anywhere. It’s so frustrating because I really want to like this sandwich—why else would I have tried 6 times??
If this sandwich shop would just give me onions and sauce I’d continue going to it weekly and indefinitely, but this kafkaesque situation must come to an end. For now, I’m OUT!
