Upon arrival for my reservation for two (me and a work colleague) I asked if we could take the two available seats at the bar to which the host and waitstaff argued that my table was reserved and ready and questioned why I wouldn’t take the table. The restaurant was slow that evening, had a lively bar, and near empty dining room upon our 7p arrival. It all went down hill from there. We were seated at the bar and but for water, were ignored for the first 15 minutes while bartender refilled water glasses and wine glasses for others around us. When I asked to place a drink order the response was “I’ll be right with you”. Finally a drink order was placed and bartender kept pressing us to place a food order. After being asked for a food order 3 times between the time I ordered my cocktail and receiving it, we placed our food order before taking the first sip of my cocktail. At that point service was done. Dinner was delivered, I finished my martini and sipped water as no further service was offered. I received the bill and left a 15% tip which is less than my usual 20%. Staff felt it necessary to step outside and insult us as we stood out front waiting for our uber. What a disappointing dinner for our one night in town!

I arrived at 4:57 with the doors wide open and asked the bartender if I could sit at a table. The bartender was extremely rude and said I couldn't sit because they weren't open. It was less than 10 minutes until open yet they had the doors wide open. It was the bartenders rude and unprofessional attitude that will make me never return and tell all my friends not to come to this spot. 0 stars if I could
Cozy spot with great music. Great service. Lamb lollipop was good, ribeye was solid and fed two though the side veggies were mid. Lobster mac and cheese just didn't got well with it, that was an ordering mistake on us.

The food was very good . The portions could have been bigger . I will go back forsure though because the food was good
I really wanted to enjoy this place, but the experience fell short. The steak arrived noticeably overcooked, which took away from what should've been the highlight of the meal. Service was also quite slow throughout, and for the price point, I expected a much higher level of attention and quality. Overall, it felt overpriced for what was delivered.
We went here in our first date night since having a baby and it was perfect. The food is a 10/10, our server was incredible, and the atmosphere was lively/sexy and intimate.

First time here. Fantastic food, but the experience was dismal due to the bartender. I ordered filet mignon with mashed potatoes and a glass of wine. The food arrived. The steak had a potato on the plate. Then the $13 side of mashed potatoes came, and I put it out to my bartender that I wouldn’t have ordered potatoes, knowing there were already potatoes on the plate. He took them away. I asked if they offered bread to which he replied yes. The food was lovely. He never checked back on me. When the bill came, it had a seven dollar charge for the bread. I took a moment to let him know I was disappointed that he didn’t check on me, that he allowed me to order potatoes despite the steak coming with them and when I ordered bread, he didn’t disclose there was a charge. From those three comments, he stated that he did not want to argue with me about the potatoes. I told him there was no argument, and I was happy to pay for the bread and that was the end of our conversation. I left a 10% tip which I never ever do – on $105 tab I would’ve easily left 40 bucks. How easy it would’ve been for him to turn my experience around. I waited tables for many years in fine dining establishments. The bar for “good” service is so low these days. Service is in the details. This was a miss. And so easily could have been, with very little effort, above mediocre.

Excellent food and a cozy atmosphere. The staff is friendly and attentive. And thank goodness they have WiFi as the cell reception isn't good inside.
Had a dinner at this place and liked it so much. The dinner, staffs, atmosphere, everything was great. So, worth to drive there 👍👍

It's American / Italian restaurant with good variety of dishes. Indoor and limited outdoor seatings. Busy narrow paths make it a bit hard to accessible. Free and paid street parking available in close by streets.
It's a pricy place just take a look at the menu. Perhaps most expensive burger I've ever had and was just OK. Caramelized onion makes anything delicious!
Service was OK, good to have reservation to avoid long waiting.

Everything was good here. I'd comeback in a heartbeat, and not hesitate to recommend this place to friends. We have the goats cheese, the rib eye, the filet, and the strogonof. It was ALL amazing. The strogonof was quite a surprise. Whose ever heard of an amazing strogonof. I had plenty of rib eye left, and I found myself going back to the strogonof over and over again. For desert we had the three copas, and the Opera cake. The Opera cake was good, but the three copas stole the show. We will be back. Try and stop us.

The atmosphere was wonderful, with friendly and kind servers. The setting is charming, and the food was excellent.
Loved it! Food was amazing and came out in perfect time. The service was excellent and our table was never messy for longer than a few minutes. Perfect date night spot.
Sadly, the server decided to keep the bill we gave her to break for the tip. Outside of the vibe being very douchey, especially for the Castro, the service and lack of integrity trump any dish they may be able to whip up. Save your money and time. There are plenty of other great restaurants in SF.
