The atmosphere was wonderful, with friendly and kind servers. The setting is charming, and the food was excellent.
Loved it! Food was amazing and came out in perfect time. The service was excellent and our table was never messy for longer than a few minutes. Perfect date night spot.
Sadly, the server decided to keep the bill we gave her to break for the tip. Outside of the vibe being very douchey, especially for the Castro, the service and lack of integrity trump any dish they may be able to whip up. Save your money and time. There are plenty of other great restaurants in SF.
My partner and I started coming here 2 years ago for our birthdays and anniversary celebration. We went for my birthday in April and our server was really judgy maybe because we are Hispanic and young probably thought we couldn't afford dining there. We still gave him a good tip because that's the kind of people we are; but last night the service was wonderfully I forgot to get this young lady's name but she was so wonderful!!! And the food was amazing as always.
This place did not disappoint in any way. Service was fantastic along with the ambiance. Recommend the truffle fries, lamb lollipops, beef stroganoff pasta and most of the the RIB EYE 🤤🤤🤤
Waited to be seated after 30 minutes even though I reserved online. Host was not very welcoming to the restaurant. Everyone else was greeted but we were left outside waiting in the cold. There were plenty of tables that could have been connected for our party but nothing was done. Once seated the waiter was the only one that made us feel welcome and was amazing. Food was 10/10 but very disappointed with the experience due to the hots
Our experience was disappointing. The hostess wasn't at the stand when we arrived for our reservation and seemed disorganized once she returned. Service was inattentive, and our entrées came before the appetizer. The food itself was okay, we don't mind paying more when the experience matches the price, but in this case, it didn't. After we paid, the hostess asked me to wait outside while my friends were still in the restroom and all their belongings were at the table, very unprofessional. Pretty space, but the poor service and lack of basic courtesy made the whole experience feel disrespectful. We chose blind butcher to celebrate my birthday and it left a sour note. Safe to say we won't be back.
The location is always too hot and the bathrooms smell horrible. They no longer have ginger beer
Service was fine. We originally a drink and left although we came for dinner. We were sat next to a small able of six “adults “ that were acting like they were at Chucky Cheese. There were two empty tables by the curtain on the other side of the room, we asked if we could move to get away from the loud table and no one came to answer the question. We left a twenty for a vodka soda and left. I don't think we're coming back. We seem to be out of the demographic, and not coming back to answer a request is poor. The kids will keep going. We won't. And you won't miss us.
Beef stroganoff was pretty bland and overpriced but that is probably the cool neighborhood tax 🤷🏻♀️ the atomosohere is pretty cool. The service was alright. Our main dish was brought out while we were still enjoying our appetizer. It was a Sunday, not busy. I probably won't return. Maybe to sit outside on a sunny day to admire the view. Otherwise, the experience was just a meh

Our food was delicious, well prepared and good presentation. Their drinks were also good. The bartender/ server was incredibly friendly and very professional. We can wait to come back again.
The only reason I'm giving a 4 is because seats were SO dirty and I had to wipe them off prior and I had said it was for my boyfriends birthday in the notes so was kind of disappointed they didn't pay closer attention to that. My menu was sticky and dirty as well. Otherwise food and our server was amazing would def go back!
Once we got their we were seated in the front near the bar. We asked if we can get a seat in the back there was plenty of room and was denied. Even though the seats were near the door it was so hot and the space was so small I felt squished at my table. We were a party of 3 btw. Mac n cheese was over hyped on tik tok lol it was not that great. Over powering truffle. Barely saw lobster in my Mac n cheese. I had the braised short ribs and it was tasty. My friends had the prim rib and potatoes wasn't crucnchy and the lambs was ok. The mushroom stagnoff was very good.
We had really high hopes for this place but were unfortunately disappointed. We started with the arugula salad which was quite good but once we got our entrees we were not as happy. My friend got the burrata ravioli and the sauce was too salty. When we sent it back and got a new one it was much better having the sauce on the side. I had the lobster mac and cheese and it just tasted like a bunch of melted cheese. It was lacking flavor. Our waitress was very kind and attentive but the food was not all that it was hyped up to be.
Food is consistently good. Love so many dishes here. However, the noise level due to the blasting of music makes it very difficult to have a nice conversation during dinner. Even our waitress had to come up close to our faces to hear our orders. Management said they'd try to accommodate but music maintained at a higher than normal level. Great for people who don't mind yelling across the table from each other to converse.
