Didn't love the food but maybe I ordered the wrong things - octopus wasn't cooked great. Meat was fine. Drinks and wine selection is good. Not sure about the ambiance as it wasn't as good as others have described, maybe I was there too early? You can have a conversation.

The band lady ( Caucasian & blonde hair who was singing)told me to lower our voice while I was on a quick call with my mom from out of state, extremely inappropriate. Food was TERRIBLE. Would never recommend.

Was looking for a place to eat at and found this gold mine. The place was packed but luckily I made a reservation. The cocktails were made to perfection. The lamb lollipops were so good and tasty. The brussel sprouts were out of this world. The short ribs fell right off the bone. The filet mignon was the best I ever had and I could not believe how delightful it was. I will be coming back at least 3-4 a month.

Blind Butcher is the kind of place you stumble into and immediately feel like you made the right choice. It has that laid-back but trendy San Francisco vibe—dark interiors, good music, and a crowd that feels very local. It’s a solid spot for a casual night out, whether you’re grabbing dinner with friends or just want good food without anything too pretentious.

The menu focuses heavily on meat, and they do it well. Everything was flavorful, well-cooked, and clearly made with quality ingredients. Portions are satisfying, and the flavors are bold without being overwhelming. Service was friendly and knowledgeable, though the wait can stretch a bit during busy hours, which keeps it from being a full 5 stars. Overall, Blind Butcher delivers a great experience and is definitely worth a stop if you’re exploring the city’s food scene beyond the usual tourist spots.

Came in for my son's 16 th birthday. As soon as I told the hostess my name for my reservations she already knew we were celebrating. The food was absolutely phenomenal - outstanding actually. We ordered the ribeye for the entrée as well as filet mignon and the truffle lobster mac & cheese . to top it off we received two slices of tiramisu cake with a candle and the whole restaurant sang happy birthday to my son. Amazing experience amazing restaurant food is outstanding. We will definitely be coming back.

Mac & cheese was fabulous, beef stroganoff was good too just wish beef was more tender. All in all a good cozy dim lit setting with vintage decor.

Delightful restaurant. Great meat-centric menu, yummy Old Fashion, energetic waiter. The noise level was loud. We asked to be moved from our original table. (Birthday celebration of 6 people next to us) new high top table was fine. We had the beef stroganoff and Wagyu meat balls, excellent. Unique wine list. We'll be back.

My friends and I gathered here for Sunday Brunch. The Hostess was kind and accommodating. The food was very good for the price. Overall, very good experience. I would definitely go back!

If you come here, you absolutely need to order the Slow Braised Short Rib and the Lobster Mac & Cheese, these two dishes are to die for. The short rib is incredibly tender and packed with flavor, sitting on a bed of super smooth mashed potatoes. The sauce from the short rib pairs perfectly with the mash, making each bite even better. As for the lobster mac & cheese, they serve generous chunks of lobster, and the mac and cheese itself is rich, creamy, and full of flavor. Both dishes are must tries and definitely worth sharing or keeping all to yourself.

My husband and I went to the restaurant last night (Jan 2), and the ambience was cute and charming. There was a DJ playing, but the music was a little too loud for the space—we couldn’t really hear each other or even the waiter.

Customer service was TERRIBLE. Our waiter had an attitude the entire time, making us feel like he was doing us a favor, while being extremely nice and attentive to the table behind us. He never informed us of the kitchen’s closing time, but when we ordered our dishes around 9:15 p.m., he rudely asked if that was all, since they were “about to close the kitchen” (the restaurant closes at 10 p.m.).

Keep in mind they have an open kitchen, and we literally saw the sous-chef spitting in the sink five times—IN AN OPEN KITCHEN!! That was disgusting. The food was okay, but nothing “wow.” We spent $200 and still had to stop at a fast-food place afterward because we were hungry.

We’re definitely not coming back. It was very disappointing.

The place is great, and the service from the waiters and the bartenders is five star! Specially Jesse as a waiter, will definitely come back.
