When I first entered Blue Bottle Coffee in San Francisco, I had the impression that I had entered a minimalist sanctuary where each element was purposefully placed. Both the fresh pastry and the pour-over coffee I had were better than I could have imagined. The pastry was delightfully flaky and light, and the coffee was creamy, smooth, and loaded with flavour. It was a peaceful haven from the bustle of the city, with a welcoming attitude. Despite the hectic morning, everything felt well-organised, and the service was kind and attentive. Coffee enthusiasts like this type of establishment because of its high standards, meticulous attention to detail, and calm atmosphere.

Blue bottle coffee has always been one of my go to coffee spots in Los Angeles so we thought we would give this location a try. This location was seriously the best. I always get a oat milk latte and it never disappoints. We got the closing time mixed up and went right before closing but the staff were super welcoming and friendly.

There’s something special about visiting the original Blue Bottle kiosk in Hayes Valley. It’s small, simple, and tucked away—but that’s part of its charm. The coffee is excellent, just as you’d expect, and knowing this is where it all began makes every sip feel a little more meaningful. A must-visit spot for coffee lovers and fans of quiet San Francisco corners.

This little blue bottle kiosk is the BEST place to enjoy your coffee. First of all the service and baristas are all kind and professional! They all make an effort to learn your name and drink. Secondly the coffee is excellent!! They make a great espresso with adequate weight of grounds so it tastes full bodied. They are alway always friendly. Thanks for showcasing a wonderful place for coffee in SF!! ❤️

Very friendly staff.
I work near this location so I’ve been a regular for years.
They always take care of me if there is ever a problem they make it right.
They take the time to try and remember my name.
Blue Bottle’s coffee and food itself is amazing, but I wanted to highlight the staff for being consistently great.
Thank you!

Yikes - perhaps the worst latte I have had in a while.
Usually blue bottle is consistent and delivers but this was just bad, had to throw it away half full - too bad, I walked away and couldn't ask for it to be remade.
